Telugu Association of Scotland (TAS) celebrated Ugadi-2013 on Sunday 14th April 2013 at Dunfermline. It was the biggest gathering yet for our TAS since its inception and the estimate was that more than 500 members attended the grand event. Event started with Jyothi Prajwalana by V S RAMALINGAM garu IFS, Consul General Of India ,Birmingham and welcome speech by Hon Chairman Ashok Bhuvanagiri. Cllr. Jim Leishman, Fife council Dunfermline Central as chief guests for this event.

Furthermore the event was filled with vibrant performances from RP Patnaik (Tollywood Music Director , Geeta Madhuri (Tollywood Singer), Mimicry Phani Madhav, Archana (International Artist) and Sandeep Bodonkar (International Kuchipudi Artist) along with Patriotic, Traditional, classical & contemporary dances from Telugu kids from Scotland . High quality performances focusing on Scottish and Indian integration were enjoyable for all age groups including Telugu origin and their Scottish friends.Guest at the event has really appreciated the free Bus service provided by TAS and said they enjoyed mouth watering Special Ugadi Pachadi, sweets served with South Indian traditional dinner.
