Dohchay has opened to mixed reviews from critics, where overseas premieres opened with a good positive word of mouth and HIT Talk but the movie got average to above average talk from B & C Centers in India. However, despite the shortcomings, Dohchay is a decent flick you can still enjoy in theaters. In USA, this film collected around Rs. 82 lacs ($133k) in two days including premiers and having a decent steady run at the USA box office.

Naga Chaitanya has created quite a niche as the lover boy. But with this flick, he’s gone for a complete image makeover. Experimenting with a new genre, he leaves you spellbound with his performance. Added to that, he is stylish and we’d tell you he has evolved in terms of his looks. There were scenes when he reminded us of his superstar dad!

Another reason to watch this flick is Kriti Sanon. She plays an unconventional Telugu cinema heroine who cares no hoot about what people think. She bunks classes, smokes, dresses like a boy and wouldn’t mind taking lift from a random stranger. While there might be people who’ll judge the role, the fact is her role of Meera comes across a nice girl who is willing to help and support a friend in need.

Director Sudheer Varma showed us what a wonderful film could mean with his maiden venture Swamy Ra Ra. Here, while he failed expectations, but he does leave you with a few ‘Oh!’ moments from time to time. He makes duping people seem cool and stealing seem easy. He has a good ear for music which is evident from the background score and the sound track of the film. ‘Aanati Devadasu’ with Madhurima, Brahmanandam, Naga Chaitanya and Kriti Sanon being the highlight, is picturised pretty nicely.
