Synopsis:
This story is about a family. Father is a race car designer. The elder son Rex Racer chooses the path of becoming a racer and loses his life. Speed Racer want to avenge the death of his elder brother by winning the Prix. He is also offered a tempting proposal from a big corporate which he rejects. The corporate head takes it personal and vows for the defeat of Speed Racer. The rest of the story is all about how Speed Racer wins the Prix against all odds.

What I liked in the film?
Speed Racer is a simple and predictable story narrated in futuristic way.

What I did not like in the film?
The total color scheme used in the film is surreal. The visual effects and races shown are too disturbing to your eyes.

The scenes I liked

1. There is a scene in Amir Khan’s ‘Tare Zameen Par’ in which the kid visualizes his daydream while attending the class. Likewise, the kid in this film too visualizes about car racing while attending the class.

Watching this film is like watching somebody else playing a video game which we do not understand. This film is supposed to be inspired by a 60’s Japanese comic. This directed by the brothers who gave us the Matrix trilogy.
