Synopsis:
The guy (Vince Vaughn) is a tour guide in Chicago. The girl (Jennifer Aniston) works for an art gallery. Both of them hit off, fall in love and get married. They start developing little differences, which eventually gets blown out of proportion. Eventually they decide to part ways. The rest of the story is all about how they realise the value of each other.

How is the film?
A storyline like this should be dealt with humour. But the humour element used in this film is not good enough. The break up process is too long and we do not know what exactly they feel about each other in that journey. ‘The Break Up’ is another film on a couple with attitude and ego. The worst part of the film is that it leads nowhere in the climax. However, the alternate ending seems a little better than the actual ending on DVD.

Tailpiece:
There is a nude scene of Jennifer Aniston in this movie where she tries to seduce Vince Vaughn in their house. I liked the camerawork in that scene although the scene itself borders on the obscene.
