What I liked in the film?
The Queen film shows the human side of the queen and you end up with sympathizing with the queen. The movie starts with showing queen in a haughty manner and slowly unfolds the human side of her as the movie progresses. The way queen differentiates humility with humiliation is good. The performance of Helen Mirren as the queen of British empire is awesome. The dialogues are good and direction is excellent.
What I did not like in the film?
The director tried to be diplomatic by doing justice to all the characters. At the end of the film, you feel that everybody is good in their own way. But in real, it is not true. When a director attempts movie based on real story, he needs to be honest and try to get the facts right.
Oscars: Helen Mirren won the best performance by an actress in the leading role. This film was nominated for five other categories.
Tailpiece:
This film is is interesting to watch because the director uses Diana’s mysterious death as the backdrop.
