Triple platinum disc function of latest blockbuster Bommarillu was held at Shilpakala Vedika on the night of 26 August. NTR, Allu Arjun, Nitin, VV Vinayak and SS Rajamouli graced this function as guests. The entire cast and crewmembers made it to the occasion.
Siddharth reminds me of Kamal Hassan - Jayasudha
Speaking on this occasion actress Jayasudha said, “I did a small but a vital role of hero’s mother in this film. Siddharth reminds me of Kamal Hassan with his work. He also sang a song. Prakash Raj and Siddharth acted with fervor. Bommarillu is a rare film that can be watched by the entire family.”
Actor Sumanth said, “This year is proving to be a very good year for Telugu film industry. We are getting many good films and good commercial hits. I wish that this trend will continue in the future too. Genelia gave a great performance in this film. Her first straight Telugu film was Satyam. Siddharth did well.”
Lyricist Chandra Bose expressed his happiness over working for such a honest film like Bommarillu.
Actor Nitin said, “I acted in the first film of Dil Raju. All his films are big hits. Everyone did well in Bommarillu. The contribution of Sirish and Lakshman for this film is unforgettable.”
I should learn from Bhaskar - SS Rajamouli
Director SS Rajamouli said, “Bommarillu is Dil Raju’s fourth consecutive hit. I appreciated Raju and Bhaskar after watching first day first show. I should learn a lot from Bhaskar. Devi Sri Prasad’s music is another plus point.”
Genelia is the highlight of Bommarillu - VV Vinayak
Director VV Vinayak said, “Bommarillu is 100% Bhaskar’s film. I feel bad because I am not able to do these kind of films. I would like to appreciate Raju for his guts in making this film. Vasu’s help to Bhaskar is invaluable. Siddharth performance is good. I cried during the climax of the film. Genelia’s acting is highlight of Bommarillu”

Actor Allu Arjun said, “Dil Raju is a confident producer, Bommarillu is a complete director’s product. I loved ‘Nammaka Tappa’ song in the first listening itself. Bommarillu explored the father-son relationship beautifully.”
I identified myself with Siddharth character - NTR
NTR said, “I am in film industry for the past seven years and saw many super hits. But I never saw such a meaningful film like Bommarillu. I identified myself with Siddharth character. My relationship with my father is more like that of Siddardh - Prakash Raj. I cried watching climax. Director Bhaskar is simply superb. We need more directors like him in Telugu. I did a couple of films with Genelia. While watching Bommarillu I wondered if she is the same girl I worked with. Devi Sri Prasad’s music is a big asset. Siddharth’s performance is great. ‘Nuvvu Gelichavu Nanna’ dialogue is the highlight of film. Lot of people think that Dil Raju is lucky. I feel that it is because of his hard work, he is getting such good hits. Hats off to Raju.”
Bommarillu is the best film I have seen in the last 10 years - Prakash Raj
Actor Prakash Raj said, “Bommarillu is the best film I have seen in the last 10 years. I stopped attending film functions a couple of years back. I attended Bommarillu function because I wanted to talk about the film. This film shows that thinking process of youngsters. Genelia proved that acting has no language barrier if the expression is correct. I am really proud of Siddharth. I saw him for the first time when he was assisting Mani Ratnam. Siddharth came and stayed in my house in Chennai for seven days to study the father - son relationship on me. Dil Raju is the cleanest producer. He introduced three directors and he is going to introduce another two.”
An emotionally moved actress Genelia said, “Hasini character is my dream character. This character gave me an opportunity to get the best out of me. Hasini character will be remembered for ever. I would like to thank both Siddharth and Prakash Raj for their support.”

Sirish and Lakshman stood by me - Dil Raju
Producer Dil Raju said, “I would like to thank my family members. It was Sirish and Lakshman who stood by me and encouraged me to continue in film industry when I had setback with Amrutha film. After that I distributed Aadi film which changed my life forever. When we did Dil film, VV Vinayak taught me nuances of the script. I picked it from him and went on to producer further films. Bhaskar is a great director who knows the art of filmmaking.”
