Venkatesh's
latest film Sankranthi attained super hit talk and
running successfully all over with steady collections
in 2nd week as well. The unit of 'Sankranthi' arranged
a success meet on this eve at Rama Naidu Studios on
28th February 2005
Paruchuri
Gopala Krishna said that all the films produced
by Supergood films banner are based on human relations.
Venkatesh performed with ease and Srikanth played
a vital role. Sangeeta came up with natural performance
in this film. Paruchuri said that Muppalaneni Siva
is his protégé.
Muppalaneni
Siva said that he worked as assistant to Paruchuri
for four films. He thanked producer RB Chowdary for
giving him freedom.
Producer
RB Chowdary said that year 2004 gave two flops.
The year of 2005 started with two super hits (Tirupachi
and Sankranthi). He waited for Venkatesh's go-ahead
on this film for 3 years. He also said that he gave
advance to Srikanth for this film 3 years back.
Hero
Srikanth said that Sankranthi is his 2nd hit
film with Supergood banner and 3rd hit with Muppalaneni
Siva (Taj Mahal, Gilligajjalu & Sankranthi). This
is his 3rd hit with Venkatesh (Abbai Garu, Kondapalli
Raja & Sankranthi). He said that he shares great
on-screen chemistry with Venkatesh in brotherly character.
He thanked for involvement from everybody.
Siva
Balaji said that he is enjoying the success of
Sankranthi and is very excited about it.
Actress
Sangeeta said that she got tremendous response
for her character and it feels good for any actress
to get applause.
Venkatesh
said that he has been doing different and good roles.
He thanked audienes for encouraging him whenever he
did a meaningful character. He also thanked audience
and press for carrying good report on day one. He
mentioned that the current season is dull and Sankranthi
is maintaining steady collections. He got a break
during shooting of Subhash Chandra Bose and watched
Anandam film for the second time. He then felt that
it is the right time to remake it and called up the
producer to start off the project on immediate basis.
He said that any actor would feel nice about it if
he could able to make people weep. And he is happy
that he has done it again with Sankranthi. He commended
the director Muppalaneni Siva for canning the emotional
scenes with balance. Venkatesh could relate more to
the film because he is also from a joint family. He
expressed that the pass book scene is the best scene
in this film, as per his view.
