'Pochampally IKAT art Mela 2017' a 7- days Hand woven Eco friendly Handloom Products exhibition Kick starts at Sri Pydah Chalamayya Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam, Opp : Raj Jewellers, Temple Street, KKD. Tollywood Upcoming Actress, (Nenu Kidnap Ayyanu, fame), Sapna Prakash Chugani formally Inaugurated the mela by Lightning the traditional Lamp.

On the occasion Upcoming Actress Sapna said that, “It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer Fabrics, Ikat silk and cotton sarees, to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs in the city. Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed handmade cotton, silk wear & exclusive home textile” she said.

“Handlooms are part of an age old Indian tradition element of Indian culture and rich artistry. By promoting handlooms, we support the artisans and local community who have been passing on their skills for generations. Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures “said Mr. Chikka Krishna- Founder Chairman- Pochampally Handloom Park.

The Expo will be on till 06th June 2017, 10:00 am to 9pm.
