About Pega Teach For Change:
The Pega Teach for Change initiative is focused on helping enhance the quality of education for government school students. This joint program between Pega and Teach for Change, an NGO is aimed at ending the educational inequality in India and provide quality education to the children. The activities undertaken by the initiative are aimed towards supporting language capabilities, digital literacy and leadership competencies of students from low income communities. The flagship programs of the program include providing volunteers to schools in Urban India who commit to one academic year’s classroom teaching and providing full time teachers to schools in Rural India. Other activities include digital literacy & model schools.

The volunteers who apply are screened to check their English proficiency, commitment and then trained and certified in the English Program before they engage with the students directly in the classrooms. Every volunteer commits to this program for a minimum of one academic year.
