HYDERABAD, India -- 11th November 2017 -- Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the software company empowering customer engagement at the world’s leading enterprises, today celebrated Kids Day 2017 as a part of Pega Teach for Change, one of Pega’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

More than 60 Government school children from Pega Teach for Change affiliated schools competed in talent competitions during the last month for the opportunity to visit Pega today and learn from more than 50 employees. Winning students were offered a glimpse into the workings of a corporate environment, as well as a chance to showcase their contest-winning extracurricular talents such as dancing, singing and painting.

As a special surprise, celebrity Mannara Chopra joined in on the fun with the kids and the employees. Mannara came to lend her support to the cause of educating students and motivating them for future success.

The Pega Teach for Change initiative is focused on helping enhance the quality of education for Government school students. This joint program between Pega and Teach for Change, an NGO that specializes in training primary and high government school students in leadership skills and English, offers government school students an opportunity for holistic training and development with added focus on computer literacy. The program focuses on empowering government school students between grades 6 and 10 across five cities – Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag, Bangalore, and Chennai.

“This program was conceptualized to give wings to the creativity of these students beyond academic curriculum and instill confidence to take on new challenges in life in a holistic way,” said Suman Reddy, MD, Pegasystems India. “We truly believe in giving back to the community and enabling the younger generations to achieve bigger things.”
