“Where Art Meets NATS”” is the main theme of the Art Competition “Chitram BhaLaarE Chitram” conducted by North America Telugu Society (NATS), a non-profit, non-political organization established to address the needs and concerns that affect the everyday lives of Telugu people living in North America, as well as, to provide the needed social, financial and educational support services to the North American Telugu community in an effective and efficient manner.

As a part of the upcoming 6th America Telugu Sambaralu-2019 to engage, empower and inspire the next generation, the cultural wing hosted the art competition for children between the ages of 4 through 18 years on Saturday, March 30 @Our Kids Montessori School in Lewisville, TX. “Global Warming with an element of India” is the main theme for which the response was unprecedented and over 116 children participated with enthusiasm and energy.

Colorful display of creative art work filled the walls of the venue. Prominent local judges Brindha Naveen, Savitha Nalla and Nishu Sinha evaluated each of the art work, provided their scoring and declared the winners.

The event was hosted by the Sambaralu cultural team and coordinated by Lakshmi Somanchi, supported by the team members Vijay Bandi, Arya Bellam - Cultural Chair, Chandra Pottipati - Cultural Co-Chair, Chaks Kundeti - Cultural Co-Chair, other team members Madhavi Indukuri, Pallavi Thotakura, and Madhavi Lokireddy. In addition, Volunteers from the Sambaralu Registration team Surendra Dhulipala, Sridhar Vinnamuri, Satya Sreeramineni, and Srinivas Kasarla from Sambaralu Sports team contributed to the success of the event. NATS Conference Chairman Kishore Kancharla shared the Sambaralu latest updates, the Conference Secretary Rajendra Madala provided the upcoming events planned by Sambaralu teams and the NATS introduction given by NATS Vice President Bapu Nuthi and vote of thanks by Programs director Rami Bandi.

Unity, Sportsmanship are the main goals of NATS Table Tennis Tournament held in Dallas, TX

As a part of several activities leading to the conference, the Table Tennis tournament was hosted North America Telugu Society (NATS), a non-profit, non-political organization established to address the needs and concerns that affect the everyday lives of Telugu people living in North America, as well as, to provide the needed social, financial and educational support services to the North American Telugu community in an effective and efficient manner. This tournament is cohosted by Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX), a non-profit, non-religious organization established in 1986 to preserve, promote and perpetuate the cultural heritage of Telugu speaking people of North Texas.

The objective of this historic tournament is to enhance fitness and bring unity and sportsmanship to the Telugu community. The day long tournament was held at the Dallas Table Tennis Club, Carrollton, TX. There has been an overwhelming response from the participating DFW Indian community. More than 16 Doubles and 40 Single teams have competed in the tournament. The tournament started around 8 AM and completed by mid-afternoon. matches were conducted extremely well with professionally supervised referees, line judges and court coordinators. There were numerous moments of intense competition and visible emotions from the players as well as their supporting cheerleaders on the stands. Players thanked the organizers for this unique opportunity for the fun and fitness offered by such a tournament.

The sports team Director NMS Reddy, sports chair Srinivas Kasarla, NATS Leadership Team members Bapu Nuthi, Rajendra Madala, and Prem Kalidindi, extended a warm welcome to the enthusiastic crowd and outlined the daylong program details and objectives of the Youth & Sports Committee, as well as, the rules of the game and explained the tournament proceedings.

Srinivas Guthikonda, Chairman, Board of Directors, Srinivas Manchikalapudi, President of NATS, and Kishore Kancharla, ATS 2019 Conference Chairman reiterated the organization’s commitment to involve the community and reaching out to the diverse needs of the members and quoted “this tournament will help bring sportsmanship and unify the Telugu community irrespective of the outcome of the game”. He thanked all the players for their active participation and encouraged to promote this sport.

China Satyam Veernapu, President of TANTEX said d that “TANTEX is very happy to be part of this tournament and continue to support this sport among the DFW Telugu community”.

While expressing their love for sports, Bapu Nuthi, Rajendra Madala, NMS Reddy, Venkat Danda, Srinivas Kasarla, Harsha Kalva, Teja Vesangi, Chinasatyam Veernapu, Mahesh Audibhatla said “ we are very happy to see the interest for this sport from Telugu Community and great to see NATS and TANTEX working together to bring all the sports enthusiasts together”. Winners of this tournament will be recognized on stage during the America Telugu Sambaralu 2019 with mementos. Finally, NATS leadership, volunteers from Sports Committee and Media team expressed their gratitude to everyone who showed their passion for the tournament, as well as, to the media partners for capturing the sights and sounds of the event. All the community team and Leadership team desired to make Sambarulu event a grand success.

అమెరికా తెలుగు సంబరాలకు ముమ్మరంగా సన్నాహాలు
వివిధ పోటీలతో తెలుగు ప్రజలను సన్నద్ధం చేస్తున్న నాట్స్

డాలస్: ఏప్రిల్ 2: అమెరికా తెలుగు సంబరాలను అంబరాన్నంటేలా నిర్వహించేందుకు ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం నాట్స్ ముమ్మరంగా కృషి చేస్తోంది. ఇప్పటికే అనేక నగరాల్లో సంబరాల సన్నాహాక కార్యక్రమాలను నిర్వహించిన నాట్స్ డాలస్ లో ఉండే తెలుగు ప్రజలను సంబరాలకు సన్నద్ధం చేసే దిశగా అడుగులు వేస్తోంది. డాలస్ వేదిక మే 24 నుంచి 26వరకు జరిగే ఈ తెలుగు సంబరాల్లో టెక్సాస్ లో ఉండే తెలుగువారందరిని భాగస్వాములు చేసేందుకు కృషి చేస్తోంది. మనమంతా తెలుగు- మనసంతా వెలుగు అనే థీమ్ తో ఈ సారి సంబరాల నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్టు గురించి సంబరాల కమిటీ కన్వీనర్ కిషోర్ కంచెర్ల తెలిపారు. కీరవాణి, మనో, ఆర్పీ పట్నాయక్ వంటి సంగీత ఉద్ధండులు తెలుగు సంబరాల్లో సందడి చేయనున్నారని నాట్స్ ఉపాధ్యక్షుడు బాపు నూతి తెలిపారు. సంగీత, సాహిత్య కార్యక్రమాలు, తెలుగుజాతి ప్రముఖులు, విశిష్ట అతిథులతో ముఖాముఖీ కార్యక్రమాలు.. పసందైన వంటకాలతో తెలుగింటి విందు భోజనాలు ఉంటాయని సంబరాల విశేషాలను సంబరాల కార్యదర్శి రాజేంద్ర మాదాల వివరించారు. తెలుగు సంబరాల కోసం 300మందికిపైగా నాట్స్ వాలంటీర్లు పని చేస్తున్నారని వారందరిని ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందిస్తున్నానని కార్యక్రమ నిర్థేశకుడు రామ్ బండి తెలిపారు. సంబరాల ఏర్పాట్ల పట్ల నాట్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు శ్రీనివాస్ మంచికలపూడి, నాట్స్ ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీనివాస్ గుత్తికొండ సంతృప్తి వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

చిత్ర లేఖన పోటీలకు మంచి స్పందన
ఇండియాపై గ్లోబల్ వార్మింగ్ ప్రభావంపై నాట్స్ డాలస్ చాప్టర్ స్థానిక తెలుగుచిన్నారులకు చిత్రలేఖన పోటీలు నిర్వహించింది. ఈ పోటీలకు స్థానిక తెలుగు కుటుంబాల నుంచి మంచి స్పందన లభించింది. ఈ చిత్ర లేఖన పోటీలకు నాలుగేళ్ల వయస్సు నుంచి 18 ఏళ్ల వయస్సు వరకు నాలుగు విభాగాలుగా విభజించి పోటీలు నిర్వహించారు. వీటీలో వందలాది చిన్నారులు తమ ప్రతిభను చూపెట్టారు. తమ సృజనాత్మకతకు ప్రతిబింబించేలా చక్కటి చిత్రాలు గీశారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి సమన్వయ కర్త లక్ష్మి సోమంచి, సంబరాల సాంస్కృతిక సమన్వయ కర్త ఆర్య బెల్లం, సహ సమన్వయ కర్తలు చంద్రపొట్టిపాటి, చాక్స్ కుందేటి, సభ్య బృందం విజయ బండి, మాధవి ఇందుకూరి, పల్లవి తోటకూర, మాధవి లోకిరెడ్డి మరియు సంబరాల రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ కమిటీ సభ్యులు సురేంద్ర ధూళిపాళ, శ్రీధర్ విన్నమూరి, క్రీడా విభాగం నుండి శ్రీనివాస్ కాసర్ల అంకిత భావంతో పనిచేసారు. ఇంకా ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో సంబరాల కమిటీ నాయకులు విజయ శేఖర్ అన్నె (సంయుక్తాధిపతి), ఆది జెల్లి (ఉపాధిపతి), ప్రేమ్ కలిదిండి (ఉపాధిపతి), రాజేంద్ర మాదాల (కార్యదర్శి), బాపు నూతి (కోశాధికారి), మహేశ్ ఆదిభట్ల (సంయుక్త కార్యదర్శి), విజయ్ వర్మ కొండ (క్రయవిక్రయ నిర్దేశకుడు), భాను లంక (ఆతిథ్యం నిర్దేశకుడు), కిషోర్ వీరగంధం (వ్యవహారాల నిర్దేశకుడు), రామిరెడ్డి బండి (కార్యక్రమ నిర్దేశకుడు), నరసింహా రెడ్డి ఊరిమిండి (ప్రసారమాధ్యమ నిర్దేశకుడు), చినసత్యం వీర్నపు (టాంటెక్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు) తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. వీరంతా పోటీల్లో అత్యుత్తమ చిత్రాలనుగీసిన చిన్నారులకు బహుమతులు అందచేసి వారిని ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందించారు.

డాలస్: ఏప్రిల్ 2: అమెరికాలో తెలుగువారిని ఏకం చేసేలా అనేక కార్యక్రమాలు రూపొందిస్తున్న అమెరికా తెలుగు సంబరాలకు సన్నాహాకాల్లో భాగంగా ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం నాట్స్ .. డాలస్ లో టేబుల్ టెన్నిస్ పోటీలు నిర్వహించింది. దాదాపు 70మందికి పైగా తెలుగువారు ఈ టేబుల్ టెన్నిస్ పోటీల్లో పాల్గొన్నారు. స్థానిక డాలస్ టేబుల్ టెన్నిస్ ప్రాంగణంలో జరిగిన ఈ పోటీలకు స్థానిక తెలుగు వారి నుంచి మంచి స్పందన వచ్చింది. టెన్నిస్ ఆడుతున్న తమ వారిని చూసేందుకు కుటుంబ సభ్యులు కూడా ఈ వేదికకు విచ్చేశారు. సంబరాల క్రీడా విభాగం నిర్దేశకుడు ఎన్ ఎం ఎస్ రెడ్డి, క్రీడా సమన్వయ కర్త శ్రీనివాస్ కాసర్ల, నాట్స్ నాయకత్వ బృందం సభ్యులు బాపు నూతి, రాజేంద్ర మాదాల, ప్రేమ్ కలిదిండి విచ్చేసిన క్రీడా ప్రియులకు స్వాగతం పలికారు. ఆటల పోటీల నియమ నిబంధనలు, క్రీడావిభాగం ముఖ్యోద్దేశాలను వివరించారు. అమెరికా సంబరాల క్రీడా విభాగం అత్యున్నత ప్రమాణాలతో, ఎంతో ఆసక్తిదాయకమైన వాతావరణంలో ఈ పోటీలను నిర్వహించింది. చివరి క్షణం వరకు ఉత్కంఠ భరితంగా సాగిన ఈ పోటీలను పోటీ దారులు, ప్రేక్షకులు కొనియాడారు.

తెలుగు వారందరినీ ఒక వేదికపై కలిసి చిన్నారులకు, యువతకు మన సంస్కృతిని పరిచయం చెయ్యాలని, తెలుగువారి ఐక్యతకు కృషి చేయాలని, ఇలాంటి ఆటలు సుహృద్భావాన్ని పెంచడానికి సదవకాశమని నాట్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు శ్రీనివాస్ మంచికలపూడి, నాట్స్ అధిపతి శ్రీనివాస్ గుత్తికొండ తమ సంయుక్త సందేశంలో పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ పోటీల నిర్వహణకు, రాబోవు సంబరాలకు సహా ఆతిథ్యం అందించడం చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉందని టాంటెక్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు చినసత్యం వీర్నపు తన సందేశంలో పేర్కొన్నారు.
