All the arrangements have been made at the best, for the 9th ATA (American Telugu Association) Conference and Youth Convention that is going to be held from 30th June for the first time at Los Angeles, CA. It will go on till July2, 2006. Releasing a press note jointly President of ATA, Mohan Mallam, Convener Gummadi Dharma Reddy, National Coordinator Sanjeeva Reddy called for the invitees and members of the association to make the event a big success. Literary competitions, music and dance programs will be held on this occasion. A seminar to bring the awareness on health related issues, poet’s meet, family forum, karaoke, boogie-woogie nite, rainbow lagoon and many more programs are going to attract all age groups. Particularly yummy food with native relish will be served hot.

“We are striving to make it as a venue for Telugu people, to meet their friends, to exchange their views and to jump in a carnival mood with their families. Convention will begin at 06.30pm on June30” Mr.Mallam said. Famous singers Gangadhar, Vijaya Lakshmi and Chicago based singer Radhika will perform cultural programs with local artistes. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Sreekanth, music director Mani Sharma, Karunya and many other celebs of Telugu Cinema will attend for the conference. And Mani Sharma’s musical nite will be conducted.

Union Minister Vailar Ravi, speaker of Andhra Pradesh, Suresh Reddy, PCC president K.Keshava Rao from the political circles; Indian spiritual gurus Viswayogi Viswamji, Swami Chitatmananda, Paramahamsa Sri Nityananda, Poojya guruji Sri Sivananda Moorty, Matru Sri Karunamayi Ma will make it for the event. Registration chair of ATA, Vikram Varma Vatsavai said, “around 3000 people have registered their names for the participation and 2000 more are expected. We are exited with the number of registrations.”

Anil Arrabelli our oversees chair specially thanked the guests and celebrites (Chiranjeevi, Tabu, RaviTeja, Srikanth, Ali, Suneel, Brahmanandam, Venumadav, Shiva reddy, Rajitha, Krishnaveni, SV Krishnareddy, Karunya (Indian Idol) Hemachander (Saregamaa) Himabindu and Mani Sharma troupe (Musical Nite) from India who are making it to the Conference considering their invitation and said attendance at this conference would provide a unique opportunity for all to share experiences with the Telugu community here in the US and pass on valuable information regarding the conference to the people back home in Andhra Pradesh.

Natraj Reddy chair hospitality committee has said that their committee has made every arrangement for the world-class hospitality to the guests during their stay for the conference.

Lakshman Koka local coordinator said that the Telugu families of southern California are eagerly waiting to show off their city and the Telugu culture that they continue to cherish.

Buchchi Reddy, co-convener of the Conference invited Telugu people to protect the language, culture and appealed that a special drive should be taken to bring the status of ancient language to Telugu.
