Bay Area Telugu Association conducted 'Roshni', a musical concert for Sankara Eye foundation on 21st January, 2006 in Hayward, CA. The main endeavor of this event was to raise funds for the Sankara Eye Hospital in Guntur for Phase II.

Renowned Telugu playback singer Usha performed at this musical concert along with Madhusudan Nandagiri, Raju Idury and other prominent singers from the bay area.

The event was attended by around 1200 people. Usha rendered many popular songs along with her hit numbers. She felicitated the platinum sponsors of Sankara Eye Foundation on the occasion and praised the Bay Area Telugu community for their largesse in donating for the noble cause. The event successfully raised more than $85000 towards the second phase of the hospital.

Speaking at the occasion, Sri. Murali Krishnamurthy, chairman of SEF shared their organization's vision and thanked the community, BATA and the artists for the support.
