BATA and Kalalaya honors Malladi Brothers

Bay Area Telugu Association, with its 30yrs of history, has been bringing in a lot of cultural and social programs including Concerts, Plays, Dance and music festivals, games. As a part of the same Saga, they brought the popular duo " Malladi brothers" to the bay area. BATA and Kalalaya together brought this Melodious Karnatic concert to bay area. Concert was held in Livermore Hindu Temple.

"Malladi Brothers" Sri Rama Prasad and Sri Ravi Kumar received their training in karnatic vocal from their father Sri. Suri Babu, Sri Pada Pinakapani, Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy. They have received many prestigious awards including AIR, Sri Krishna Gana sabha and Music academy. Sri Embar Kannan provided Violin support for the concert who himself has established in the world of violin artists. He is respected artist for AIR. He is desciple of Smt. Kanya Kumari. Mridangam support was provided by the famous Mridangam player Sri Arjun Kumar who learnt Mridangam from his father Sri. Arjunan. He is also very popular AIR and TV artist.

The Concert started at Livermore temple on the Sunday evening at 4:30pm. Smt. Vijaya Aasuri and Smt. Kala Iyer invited the artists and audience on behalf of Bay area Telugu Association and Kalalaya. The concert continued for 3 hrs. All the audience were deeply immersed in the pleasant showers of the ragas sung by Malladi Brothers. The concert started with offering prayers to Lord Ganesha, followed by rendition of different Ragas. "Visweshwara Darishanakara" bountifully rendered by Malladi Brothers left the audience in divine happiness. Offering prayers "Jaya Mangalam" concluded the Concert. Mr. Ramesh Mandalapu, President, Bay Area Telugu Association honored the artists with Trophies. Malladi Brothers concert received a standing ovation by the enthralled audience in the auditorium.
