On the occasion of 10th anniversary of Time To Market (TTM) Inc that was held on February 9, 2008 at Indian Community Center, Milpitas, California, State Minister for Defense Mr. M. Pallam Raju served as the Guest Speaker. He spoke on the topic: “Indian Semiconductor Industry & Government policy". The event was attended by several customers of TTM, employees of TTM and guests that include representatives of Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA), Telugu Association of North America (TANA), and NRI TDP. During the speech, Mr. Pallam Raju explained the current status of semiconductor industry in India and the opportunities and challenges. Further, he emphasized that the Government of India is closely involved in policy making and helping the semiconductor industry development in India. The attendees eagerly heard his speech that went into details of Indian semiconductor industry volumes and dollar numbers. It was very fascinating to hear the huge opportunity that is available in India for semiconductor industry at present as well as many years to come.
At the beginning of the program, Mrs. Vijaya Aasuri of BATA introduced Mr. M. Pallam Raju on the stage. Towards the end of his speech, BATA executive committee members felicitated Sri. Pallam Raju with a “shaluva” and thanked him for sharing his views on the status and future of semiconductor industry in India, and also being here with us for the evening. BATA executive committee includes Yugandhar Karakala, Ravi Thiruveedhula, Prasad Mangina, Kalyan Kattamuri, Srinivas Kolli, Vijaya Aasuri, Sreedhar Chava, Ramesh Konda, Srinivas Mangipudi, Satheesh Pola, Karun Veligeti, Veeru Vuppala, and Ramesh Mandalapu.
Another Guest Speaker at this occasion, Mr. Mike Rekuc, President, Chartered Semiconductor, USA, spoke on the Topic: "IBM Common platform & Eco system partners". To conclude the session, Mr. Venkata Simhadri (President & CEO of TTM) addressed the gathering with history and continuous progress of TTM in helping their customers. Mr. Simhadri assured that his team is dedicated to continue providing excellent services with high quality and reliable ASIC/ FPGA design and Embedded software services.
During the dinner time, many attendees seen to be personally interacting with both Guest Speakers. Specifically, the conversation between Mr. Pallam Raju, Mr. Jayaram Komati (TANA) and BATA members included the Andhra Pradesh political topics such as Telangana movement and speculation on Chiranjeevi’s entry into politics.
