                              Vamsi's latest ambitious venture Khadgam
deals with the brutal and inhuman acts of terrorism
by the ISI elements in Hyderabad. After tackling
the problem of naxalism with stark reality in Sindhooram
and showcasing the agony and ire of an innocent
man, trapped in a murder case, poignantly in Samudram,
Krishna Vamsi again handles a sensitive issue of
terrorism and communal harmony in Khadgam with aplomb.
Known for his slick shot execution and powerful
direction, Krishna Vamsi's Khadgam is touted
to be a sword that will amputate the widespread
terror in the country and preach brotherhood among
                              the people. Srikanth,
who is working for the first time with Krishna Vamsi,
essays the role of a sincere police officer DCP
                              Radha Krishna in Khadgam. Prakash
Raj, after displaying his acting prowess effectively
under the baton of Krishna Vamsi in Samudram and
Anthapuram earlier, enacts yet another powerful
role of an auto driver Amjad Khan, who is a staunch
Muslim, doing namaaz five times a day, but who also
treats Hindus with good humanity. Ravi
Teja, after an acclaimed performance in Krishna
Vamsi's Sindhooram, is playing a hilarious
comedy oriented role of Koteswara Rao, who dreams
and desires to become a hero. He ogles at the movie
posters (just like in Sindhooram) and imagines
himself in hero roles. His prime ambition is to
be called as 'Babu' by industry people (indirectly
taking dig at Tollywood culture where every hero
from Nagarjuna and Venkatesh to Nitin are called
as 'Babu' by unit members). Sonali
Bendre, whom Krishna Vamsi repeats here after his
latest movie Murari and the Mohabbatein girl
Kim Sharma are the lead female artists. |
