Story

Bhikshapati (Devaraj) is the cruelest landlord in Rayalaseema. He is on his way to hunt down the family of Sandhya (Tamanna) who stay in Bhuvaneswar. Sree (Manoj) grows up in Bhuvaneswar with his widow mother (Sukanya). Sree falls in love at first sight with Sandhya. When things are getting right between Sandhya and Sree, Bhikshapati's men enter Bhuvaneswar. Sree rescues the family of Sandhya from Bhikshapati's men. Then he also finds out that there is some connection to his father with Bhikshapati's men. The rest of the story is all about how he returns to Rayalaseema and rescues the people of village from the clutches of the feudal landlord Bikshapati.

Artists Performance

Manoj performed really well in this film. With this film he has shown that he is capable of doing great stunt sequences. He did some risky shots too. His dialogue delivery that resembles that of his father Mohan Babu is an asset to him. However, he needs to shed some weight look more appropriate. Tamanna is cute and did considerably well for a first timer. The finishing touch to Brahmanandam's character as Ghazal Nagaraj is hilarious. Raghubabu's comedy in second half (akin to that of his character in Bunny) gives us a lot of relief. Devaraj is good as villain. Mohan Babu gave a special appearance in the flashback episode. He is an absolute delight to watch his uttering his typical dialogues as a baddie turning into a good man.

Technical Departments:

Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is an amalgamation of old faction stories. Dasarath who has know for family oriented soft films like Santosham and Sambaram attempted his hand at faction like Sri. His direction is good in parts. Screenplay of the film should have been smoother. The establishment of love between main leads was not affectively handled. However director shown some versatility in keeping action and comedy elements blended towards the latter part of the second half.

Other departments: A couple of fast beat songs by Sandeep Chowta is good. Song choreographed by Ahmed Khan (inspired by Shaggy's) is impressive. Dialogues by Kona Venkat are average. A couple of fights composed by Stun Siva are remarkable. The interval fight is going to be the highlight of the film. Cinematography by Arun Kumar is good. Visual effects are impressive.

Analysis: First half is slow. Interval bang is impressive. Second half runs fast. The plus points of the film are performance of Manoj and fights. The predictable plot of the film does not leave anything fresh to the viewer. The screenplay should have been better. This film has got good craze due to nice promos and generated very good openings (more than 200% compared to Manoj's first film Donga Dongadi on the first day).
