Story
Dasarath, who gave Santosham, fails to deliver a happy,
engrossing subject despite the fact that he is directing
this movie for producer Teja.
The
theme is a repetition of some scenes from Toli Prema,
especially the climax with just minor changes. The subject
revolves around childhood friends becoming lovers -
how the disparity in academics is responsible for the
girl treating her childhood friend as just a friend.
Ravi (Nitin) and Geeta (Nikita) are childhood friends
whose families are closely related. Geeta does engineering,
while Ravi fares badly in studies. . Ravi wants to marry
her but she refuses and brushes him off saying he cannot
get a job and she does not want him to live on her money.
A highly disappointed Ravi leaves for Dubai to achieve
something. He is also concerned about the humiliation
he would suffer following Geeta's rejection to marry
him as everybody is aware of their imminent marriage.
Therefore, he wants to be away from this atmosphere.
By the time Geeta learns about his departure, Ravi is
already at airport. That is when she starts thinking
about how much she would miss him and how important
he is to her.
Nitin
has no role to play except moving around, cutting a
sorry figure. Nikita, on the other hand, gets a role
of the decision maker which she plays well. Performances
by Giribabu (Nikita's father) and Sita (Ravi's sister-in-law)
are worth mentioning. The comedy track is poorest in
the screenplay. It is surprising that noted director
S.V. Krishna Reddy accepted to play an insignificant
role.
The
backdrop of a hill station provides an opportunity to
the cinematographer to present pleasing visuals. Music
by R.P. Patnaik is just a repetition of his own tunes.
This is not a good sign. The longest dialogue uttered
by Geeta when she refuses to marry Ravi lacks logic
and does not make sense.
