A patriotic film is a safe bet these days. Though the star
cast has second-line artistes, the film could elicit good
response from the audience. Satya Prakash plays the patriotic
protagonist in the film. Producer-storywriter Ravi Prasad
Gowd plays 'patriotism' as his box office trump card. And
his narrative gains significance in the subplots, depicting
how a woman terrorist attempts to kill ACP Satya (Satya Prakash).
But she ends up becoming his loving wife, ready to sacrifice
her life to the nation. The other trump card is involving
school children to capture the fleeing terrorist.
ACP Satya is given charge of leading an operation called 'Zindabad'
to capture, imprison or kill terrorists, who are all set to
do a repeat of Gujarat's Aksharadam in Hyderabad. Satya arrests
them and hurls them into a cell, guarded by constable Abdullah
and his father are put view.
While Satya meeting a girl (Divyasri) falling in love with
her and marriage forms the next few reels, the girl's 'involvement'
with the terrorists forms the later half.
Slogans like 'I Love India' and 'Mera Bharat Mahan' find an
echo in the theatre. Satya Prakash's performance is adequate.
He is like 'fish out water' in a romantic tale. The separate
comedy track, featuring top comedians looks crude. Benerji,
especially, this role of Abdullah is a good change from his
routine roles. Music composer Marc John supports the drama
well with his background score in the film.
