Review:

When I was in Mumbai in 1997, I used to frequent the suburb beauties like Movie Time, Cine Magic etc to have the theatre experience and used to wonder when AP is going to have theatres like that. Watching good films like Titanic, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Satya is like a treat to eyes and ears in those theatres.

Recently when I visited the Hitech theatre in Hyderabad, I found it to be a better theatre than Movie Time and Cine Magic. Hitech theatre that is situated in Madhapur, Hyderabad. It is ideally situated in a place, which is near to the Andhra Silicon Valley Hitech City and the posh localities of Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. The management's target is to serve more comfort at an extra cost.

This is a kind of mini theater having a capacity of 463. There are 13 exclusive seats in the balcony that are priced at Rs 75/-. These seats are created for the purpose of the safety for the movie heroes and other glitterati that come to theatre to watch films. There are another 350 deluxe seats that are priced at Rs 50/- each. The most interesting aspect of this section is the legroom they provide. There is ample leg space of 4 and half feat between the rows and of course all the seats do have a holder to keep the soft drinks.

Talking to idlebrain.com, BN Hari Krishna Rao, the manager expressed his satisfaction over the crowds the hall is pulling. Surprisingly, this theater gets maximum feeding for the second show slated at 9 pm. In general, other theaters get maximum feeding for matinees. He feels that the Jubilee hills crowd wants to chill out by watching films in the late night. The ground floor of this 1700 square feet theater serves as the parking lot. And they observe around 60 cars for the second show.

This theatre was opened with Nuvve Kavali on 6th of April. And the film Kushi is getting exhibited in this theater for third week now. This theater is the best one in AP, only if you can afford Rs 75/- for the car parking, Rs 48/- for the microwave popcorn and Rs 50/- for the ticket.
