About
the Daddy
The MASTER
team is back in action. Producer Allu Arvind, director Suresh
Krishna and Chiranjeevi teamed up again to churn out another
wholesome entertainer, 'Daddy', made under Geeta Arts banner.
Simran plays the female lead supported by new find Ashima
Bhalla. Rajendra Prasad dons the role of the close friend
of hero.
"Chiranjeevi
runs a dance school. He is the epitome of true friendship.
Likewise, he stands by his ladylove, his wife to be precise,
through thick and thin and is a doting father. He is also
a crusader against evil forces. The film is basically a family
drama that revolves around three characters - the hero (Chiranjeevi),
his wife (Simran) and their daughter (Baby Akshaya). Rajendra
Prasad plays a crucial role too. The action scenes are in
tune with the demands of the script. The film tries to present
Chiranjeevi in a new angle", says the director.
Interestingly,
Pawan Kalyan, brother of Chiranjeevi, choreographed two of
the fight sequences. "After watching the action scenes
he has composed in his blockbuster "Kushi", we found
they were different from the routine stuff and approached
him to compose two of the action scenes in this film, including
a chase scene. We are confident that we will regale the audience",
says producer Allu Arvind.
"Bhupati
Raja's story was not written with Chiranjeevi in mind. But,
after listening to it, we felt the theme would show mega star
in a different angle", he continues. Agreeing to him
Chiranjeevi says, "I am happy to be working again with
the team that made 'Master' earlier. Like that film, this
one too is different and it presents me in a new angle."
According
to Simran, her role combines glamour and performance, while
Rajendra Prasad feels that his role is near to reality. "In
real life, Chiranjeevi and I are great friends. So there is
no need to 'act' in the reel life. The comic part in my role
has a sentiment touch to it too."
"Saroj
Khan had choreographed two songs, one of which is an introductory
song (Aadu Aadinchu' on the hero and other features the hero
and two heroines with a host of dancers (Patta Pakkinti) in
Hyderabad sets. She has done two more songs in the foreign
locales of Austria. SA Raj Kumat, scoring music for a Chiranjeevi
film for the second time, has come up with fresh chords, a
combination of beat and melody. We plan to release the movie
of October 4", says Allu Arvind.
