Anand
- Its like good Coffee.
About
the film:
In
a State where 'FILM' is the favorite pass time, millions of
people are being entertained by heroes who come every week,
sweat it out with heroines, affirm socialism, die if it helps
and then exit
.."Anand" is not one of them.
Every person goes through a day in his own way
. Some work,
some make money, some have fun, some travel but finally everyone
RETURNS home. Coming back HOME is instinctive, it is very fundamental
and spontaneous and yet nothing in this world has ever matched
this feeling. There is nothing in this world which has more
recall value than coming back home. "Anand" is a film
that makes you feel at home. Its like sipping a good cup of
coffee in your favorite couch after a long days work
we
invite you to come home to ANAND.
In
this rush hour age, one tends to forget the very simple elements
and instances in our day to day activities. Reminding us of
such instances is the film by Sekhar Kammula, titled "Anand".
Bringing to life what every man, woman or child would literally
pass off as a day to day event, is this masterpiece.
Anand
captures moments like a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter morning,
the smell of wet sand from a shower of rain, the bright rays
of sunlight on a warm summer morning, and feelings of real people
in the real world with a dream like narration
. It attempts
to breath in fresh air into commercial Telugu Cinema
Anand
is co-production of NFDC and Amigos Creations For the first
time NFDC is entering into commercial Telugu cinema.
Music:
The
music, which is composed by Mr. K. Radhakrishnan and lyrics
by Sri Veturi, is bound to leave one humming and pondering on
the words for days to come. Music of a long passed era, brought
back to life with a touch of modernization to appeal to the
younger and older generations. Songs filled with simple phrases
like "Bulli Padavalu", "School Selavalu",
"Vedi Vedi pakodi", "Yamuna Teeram
..Sandya
Ragam", Gasa gasala kougilintha", "Cheruvaina
dooramaina Anandamena" will haunt you for days to come"
..,
real incidents, simple things, common feelings that occur to
us on a daily basis
. Have been transformed into songs
in Anand.
The
first time music director K.M. Radha Krishnan has created 6
memorable tunes for Anand. With remarkable orchestrization and
melodious ragas this music will last a life time in the Telugu
