USP of Telugu cinema in 2004

You might have remembered the famous 'Naakenti?' dialogue uttered by Kota in 'Aha Naa Pellanta' film. This single word effectively written by Jandhyala for Kota's character is what Telugu film audiences are demanding from the filmmakers today. In order to show that their film is different from others, the filmmakers coin something special for their movie as an USP (Unique Selling Point - A feature that the salesman hopes will convince you to buy his product instead of another).

Let us examine a few films that were released in this year and their respective USP's.

The above USP's are used to promote the films before and after the release. The best USP of the year goes to Anand for the caption 'Manchi Coffeelanti Cinema' (as effective as last year's Aithe caption - 'Anni cinemalu okela vundavu'). The most controversial USP is 'Mee Bharya chachipothe bagundu anipinchinda?'. The women who made protests outside the theaters of 'Madyahnapu Hatya' gave more publicity to this film than filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.
