With
the flop of Dhairyam, the producers and the director are washing
the dirty linen in public. The producers and director went
on to the extent of lodging complaint in police stations.
Producers
demanded 3 crores - Mrs. Teja
Mrs. Srivalli - wife of director Teja - filed a complaint
in Jubilee Hills police station that the producers of Dhairyam
called her up on 19th February 2005 and threatened to assassinate
the entire family of Teja if Teja does not pay up 3 crores.
She also mentioned that the producers called her husband Teja
up on 14th February and threatened him when he was away in
Rajahmundry to shoot for his new film. She also mentioned
that a couple of vehicles stopped by at her house and she
observed a few people from those vehicles behaving and staring
at her house in a suspicious way. Terrified with this event,
she had to alert the security guard. Mrs. Srivalli also requested
for police protection as there is threat to her family.
Teja
fans threatening with calls - VL Sridhar
VL Sridhar - executive producer of Dhairyam - lodged a complaint
at Ram Gopal Peta police station about threatening calls from
fans of Teja. He also mentioned that Teja shot Dhairyam over-budget
by shooting it for many number of days and reshooting a few
scenes again and again. Sridhar filed a complaint about the
same in AP Film Chamber of Commerce as well. Sridhar handed
over the phone numbers and the audio tapes of those calls
to police station. Producer Narayana Das said that Teja created
obstacles in order to stop the release of Dhairyam film. Narayana
Das Narang also said that Teja beaten up production manager
Nageswara Rao and another junior artist during the shooting
of Dhairyam.
Dasari
and Mohan Babu to intervene
Dasari Narayana Rao and Mohan Babu (president of MAA) are
briefed up about this issue. They are expected to make a truce
between the producers and the director very soon.
Godfather
errs
Incidentally Teja is the Godfather of Nitin in film industry
(he confirmed the same in an interview
to idlebrain.com). He okays the subjects of all Nitin's
films. It is sad that Teja erred while making 'Dhairyam' that
stars his godson Nitin as hero. At the same time, Sudhakar
Reddy - father of Nitin - is one of the producers of Dhairyam.
