Ilaya Raja to score for Sumanth
Maestro Ilayaraja will be scoring for a new Sumanth film that started a few days back. This film is titled as 'Sabhash'. Sumanth is playing the role of cop, who executes his operations smoothly without uttering ferocious dialogues. A new heroine Chandni is making her debut with this film. For a change, Sumanth is wearing a mustache in this film. He seems to have realized that all the Telugu heroes should have mustache to succeed in the modern era (Mehesh Babu is an exception). Jaya Babu who produced films like Manavuri Pandavulu with Bapu in the past is producing this film. The director of this film Hanumantha Reddy worked as assistant director to Ravi Raja Pinisetty. Muhurat of this film happened on 3rd February 2001 in Annapurna studios. Ram Prasad with Balayya
Ram Prasad, who gave a sensible hit Chiru Navvuto with his debut in the last year, would be directing a film with Balayya. Bhagavan and Danayya who produced a different film like Samudram would be producing this venture. Incidentally, Ram Prasad is a protégé of B Gopal. Ram Prasad seems to have impressed Balayya when he worked as a associate director for B Gopal. This film will go on floors in April 2001. Balayya has taken a different approach after the film 'Vamsoddarakudu'. He is doing all his films with new directors except for the proven ones like B Gopal and Kodi Rama Krishna. And he is also making sure that all the heroines are imported from Bollywood. . Simran with Chiru for Geeta Arts
Simran is selected as the heroine for the next Chiru's film to be started. Allu Arvind, who was instrumental in producing hits with Chiru like Vijetha, Pasivadi Pranam, Attaku Yamudu, Master , Rowdy Alludu and Annaya in the past will produce this film on Geeta Arts banner. Satyanand has provided subject for this film. Suresh Krishna who shown Chiru in a new angle with Chiru in Master will direct this film. This film will go on floors in March 2001. |
