Cowboy film sold for 99 lakhs in Guntur

Babu's Cowboy film expectations are skyrocketing day by day. After Jayant
gave the distribution responsibility to Mayuri, the craze seems to have
become more intensified. Guntur area holds a special place for Mahesh
Babu, as it's his home place. There are lots of hardcore Mahesh Babu
fans out there. Mahesh Babu's earlier film Murari was sold for 75 lakhs,
which was higher for any big hero at that time. Later on Pawan Kalyan
Kushi created a record among the trade circles by getting sold for 90
lakhs. A famous distribution agency has offered 99 lakhs for Mahesh
Babu's Cowboy film under production in the direction of Jayant. This
figure is the highest ever offered for Guntur area for any hero. Now
the producers are negotiating with Mayuri distribution to let the Guntur
area off. Incidentally, when the cowboy film was started nobody was
willing give even Murari price (75 lakhs) for this film. Uday Kiran's new film kicked off
Burugapally Siva Rama Krishna is remaking the Tamil hit 'Dil' into Telugu.
VN Aditya of 'Manasanta Nuvve' fame is directing this venture. Gajala
of 'Student No.1' fame is paired up with Uday Kiran in this action entertainer.
RP Patnaik is providing music for this film. Sirivennela is writing
all lyrics. Paruchuri brothers are penning dialogues. Siva Kumar provides
cinematography. The muhurat of this film was held at Rama Naidu studios
today (5th of November) morning. Uday Kiran, who acted as lover boy
in three hit films so far, is doing an action-oriented film for the
first time. This film was the only hit from Tamil after the Tamil New
Year season. Burugapply Siva Rama Krishna grabbed the rights by paying
an astronomical amount. It is also rumored that AM Ratnam is remaking
the same film in Hindi with Hrithik Roshan as hero. Abhay auctioned

Cinema auctioned kamal Hassan's Abhay movie in Hyderabad recently for
all the areas. The movie, which is slated for Diwali release, was auctioned
for all areas except for Nizam. The producer is releasing the film for
Nizam area on his own. Mean while, The Urvasi theater management of
Vijayawada has filed a suit against JK Cinema as they have already signed
a contract paper selling rights to Urvashi for three films by JK Cinema,
which includes Abhay, Sabhash and Dasu. This Diwali is having four main
releases. They are Paravasam by AM Ratnam, Abhay by Kamal Hasan, Darling
Darling by Srikanth and Jabili by SV Krishna Reddy. We got to wait and
see what is there in store for these four films. |
