Ratnam - A Happy Man
Kushi,
a tamil film produced by AM Ratnam started of with a flop talk and later
on it converted to a hit. Buyers felt that AM Ratnam quoted a high price
and most of the areas went unsold. AM Ratnam released the film on his
own. After the film has become a hit, the same buyers bought the film
for all areas on outright basis. It was sold for 1 crore and 5 lacs
in Coimbattoor area. The same film is going to be remade in Telugu with
Pawan Kalyan by AM Ratnam in the direction of Surya.
AM
Ratnam is also planning to remake 'Oke Okkadu' in hindi. It was decided
that Sharukh Khan will play the mainlead. But later on he was dropped
and given way to Anil Kapoor as former's film as journalist, 'Phir Bhi
Dil Hain Hindustani' bombed at box-office. Shankar will direct this
film and AR Rehman is going to provide music.
Shooting
of 'Sri Manjunadha' trigged off
The
USP of the film is Chiru as Shiva, Arjun as devotee of Shiva and Soundarya
as the wife of devotee. This trilingual film(Telugu, Tamil and Kannada)
trigged off at Kanteerava Studios, Bangalore on 3rd July. K Raghavendra
Rao who gave the massive hit in the form of Annamayya is directing this
film.
Nara
Jaya Sridevi, who is a big producer in Kannada is producing this film
on 'Chinni Films' banner. This muhurat is graced by Ramadevi, the governess
of karnataka. JK Bharavi who gave story and dialogues for Annamayya
is providing dialogues and story for this film. The other cast of this
film include master Anand vardhan, Ambarish, Sumalata and Vinod Kumar.
Ninne
Premista - Srikanth
After
doing many successful films in Telugu, RB Chowdary is producing 'Ninne
Premista' with Srikanth and Soundarya. Shinde, a debutante director
with an experience of 26 years as assistant director is directing this
film. Other attraction of the film is going to Nag special appearance
that include a song too.
Story
of the film is a love story set in the village backdrop. Rajendra Prasad
is doing another cameo role in this film. Ravali is dancing with Nag
