regular shooting of Johnny, Pawan Kalyan's film with Geeta Arts, would
be starting on 16th of June. Mr. Goutham, the ace cinematographer is
selected as the cinematographer for Johnny. He would be using ARRI 3
(Arriflex Camera) for the first time in Telugu to shoot Johnny. They
have recently tested this camera in Ramoji Film City and found it to
be very satisfactory. The main advantage of this camera is that one
can do spot dubbing and editing. The same camera was used for Aamir
Khan's Lagaan as well. Set work of this film is going on in Ramoji Film
City now. Major work of this film would be done in Obul Reddy Public
School, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. This school is being converted a make-shift-hospital
for Johnny. Kareena Kapoor is not acting in this film as rumored in
the past. A Tamil heroine is selected for Johnny.

composes a song for Indra
The
veteran music director MM Keeravani composed a special song for Chiranjeevi's
Indra. Mani Sharma composed remaining songs. The unit of Indra recently
went to Switzerland to shoot the songs. A fast-beat-based song was shot
on Arti Agrawal - Chiranjeevi and a slow-paced song shooting is going
on now on Chiranjeevi - Sonali Bendre. The unit would return to India
soon. Audio of the film is expected on 5th of June. The film is slated
for release on 25th of July. B Gopal directs a Chiranjeevi film after
a gap of almost 9 years. Incidentally the gap between audio release
and movie release would be 50 days unlike the standard 30-day period.

of the Rings' team for BABA
The
graphics team of Hollywood blockbuster 'The Lords of the Rings' is working
for Rajnikanth's Baba. The unit is expected to shoot in Kashmir. But
due to war tension, the unit moved to Switzerland to shoot Baba in a
Banyan Tree set erected in the middle of icy mountains. According to
the reliable information from the insiders, this film has no shades
or relevance to Suresh Krishna's earlier film with Rajni Basha. Rajnikanth
has a new sign/mannerism in this film in which he keeps with the 2 middle
fingers folded and outer 2 fingers open like the gesture of basketball
players. Actually it's the 'Maya Mudra', which a saint suggests to the
Baba in this film. This film is going to hit theaters in the month of
August.
