Anti
piracy squad raids VCD stores
The
bigwigs like Aswini Dutt, KL Narayana, Allu Arvind, Jagadeeswara Reddy
were seen in Kukatpally yesterday. They visited all the stores and confiscated
the pirated VCDs of the latest films. They even entered the shops, which
were closed after coming to know about raids. The anti piracy task force
simultaneously raided Video rentals in many other cities as well. Upon
the investigation, it is found that Guntur is the hub of piracy and
using simple equipment like computer, printer and CD writer, a few pirates
are writing pirated DVDs. It is also learnt that the VCDs and DVDs of
latest films Indra and Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru are expected from
piracy hub in a couple of days. This raid might not confiscated even
1% of the entire pirated VCD's on prowl, but it definitely created awareness
among the people of Andhra and fear among the pirates.
Pawan
Kalyan's Johnny on 27th April 2003
The
more they hide.. the more curiosity it arouses! This seems to the media
strategy by Pawan Kalyan. He employed it for Kushi and there was tremendous
positive good will and hype about that film and Pawan Kalyan gone a
step ahead to make sure that none of the details of 'Johnny' are revealed.
But the most vital information about the film is slipping like the sand
from the closed fist. This film has four songs and nine powerful fights.
A guru of martial arts specially composes these fights. The fights are
so powerful and mesmerizing that the hero makes the villains go astray
with the power of his eyes. The hero uses a red kerchief that has 'Johnny'
imprinted on it. Hero's character name is Janaki Ram and friends call
him Johnny. There is also an angle of Hindu-Muslim harmony in the storyline.
This film has two heroines - Monica Dubey and Renu Desai. There was
a news article published by Deccan Chronicle that J Lo is roped in to
act in a special song, which is false. Coming to the get-up, Pawan Kalyan
looks very different compared to his earlier films. He is extremely
lean in this film with neither mustache not a beard. But he has the
short hair on his mustache, just like the kind of hair that grows when
you don't shave for a couple of days (checkout the kind of mustache
in photograph published). According to the speculations made, Pawan
Kalyan's Johnny is slated for 27th April 2003 release. Incidentally,
Kushi was also released on 27th April 2001.
Mahesh
Babu with VV Vinayak
The
combination of VV Vinayak and Bellamkonda Suresh seems to be the hottest
combination. After the stupendous success of 'Aadi', the inside
report of VV Vinayak's film with Balayya is carrying excellent report.
With this kind of sensational things happening, VV Vinayak seems to
have approached Mahesh Babu with an exciting storyline and Mahesh Babu
gave an instant 'go-ahead' signal to the director. Bellamkonda Suresh
is going to produce this film. The other details of this film are being
worked out. For the starters, 'Chenna Kesava Reddy, - a film by Balayya
- VV Vinayak - Bellamkonda Suresh is sold for 4.05 crores in Ceded and
1.3 for Guntur area, which is highest ever.
