Hyderabad Blues part - 2
Nagesh Kukunoor, who shot to fame with his Hyderabad Blues - a Rs. 20-lakh budget film that was shot in 17 days - has completed making a sequel to it. Its titled as Hyderabad Blues Part - II. Nagesh Kukunoor directed films like Rockford, Bollywood Calling and 3 Walls after Hyderabad Blues. The shooting of Hyderabad Blues part - 2 is completed and the post production work is going on. Hyderabad blues revolved around the love story between the main leads (Nagesh Kukunoor and Rajashree Nair). Hyderabad Blues - 2 is going to deal with post marital problems. Nagesh Kukunoor, Vikram Inamdar and Elahi Hiptoola are acting in Hyderabad Blues - 2. However, female lead Rajashree Nair is replaced by a new face. This film is all set for an international release in the month of January 2004.

Uday Kiran 'Love Today'
Uday Kiran's film with Supergood Films is titled as 'Love Today'. This film was earlier titled as Lovers and Cheppave Chirugaali. Divya Khosla is making her debut as heroine with this film. Sunil and Srutika are playing vital roles. MS Prabhu handles camera. Vidya Sagar provides music. Aprutam directs this film. Audio of 'Love Today' is expected in the month of December 2003. Love Today is all set for 2004 January release.

Dasari helps the climax of THP
The unit of Hari Krishna's 'Tiger Harischandra Prasad' (THP) requested veteran film director Dasari Narayana Rao for helping them in conceiving a powerful climax. Dasari Narayana Rao is said to have flown from New Delhi to suggest a powerful climax. Audio of THP was released by Dasari at a function held on 28th of November. Dasari released the audio. SA Raj Kumar provided music. THP deals with problems faced by peasants of Andhra Pradesh.

Sreeramachandrulu success meet held
The success meet of Rajaendra Prasad's latest flick 'Sreeramachandrulu' was held on 29th of November. Tammareddy Bharadwaja said that Sriramachandrulu stood as a successful film when all the films are failing miserably at box office. Achi Reddy and SV Krishna Reddy attributed the success to the screen presence and acting ability of comedy kind Rajendra Prasad. R Narayana Murthy expressed his happiness over the success of the film and requested the film chamber to look after the small films by decreasing ticket rate, and allowing commission basis exhibition. Rajendra Prasad attributed the success of Sreerama Chandrulu to the team work.

NTR releases Lakshmi Ganesh audio
NTR released the audio of Sai Kumar's film Lakshmi Narasimha on 30th November at the preview theater of Prasad labs. Sai Kumar is acting in this multilingual in Telugu and Kannada which is going to released on the same day. The Kannada version of this film is titled as 'Om Ganesh'. Swapna is paired up with Sai Kumar in this film. Unlike typical Sai Kumar films, this film sports 5 songs. Thriller Manju directed this film.

Ramu's Mayam details
Ram Gopal Varma is planning two Telugu projects that are also simultaneously being made in Hindi. The first one is 'Madhyahnapu Hatya' with JD Chakri and Amani in main leads. The second one is 'Mayam'. Kumar - who worked as an associate director in a few Suresh Productions ventures - is making his debut as director. Allari Naresh and Naveen Reddy (who played cameos in Takkari Donga and Okkadu) would be playing main leads. The same film is being made in Hindi under Varma corporation with Tussar Kapoor as hero.

Audio of Satyam on 3rd December
Nagarjuna is re-launching his nephew Sumanth with a film titled 'Satyam'. This film completed it's shoot. Audio of this film would be releasing on 3rd of December 2003. Chakri provided music. Suresh is making his debut as director. Akkineni Nagarjuna wants to make sure that the film is perfect before starting any publicity campaign. The audio function of this film would be the launch of campaign for Satyam film. Genelia (of Boys fame) is paired up with Sumanth.

Film stars support 10 K run
The citizens of Hyderabad are going to run for a charity on 30th November 2003 by participating in 'Hyderabad 10K Run'. The run would start at Peoples Plaza, Necklace road. The participation fee for this event is Rs. 150/- and all the money pooled in this event would go for charity. Our Telugu film stars are going to support this event heavily by running for a cause. Vidya's cameo with Allu Arjun
Vidya - the heroine of Sivaji's debut film 'Sraddanjali' - made her comeback with Allari Ravi Babu's film 'Ammailu Abbailu'. Later on she did as one of 4 heroines in Srikanth's film 'Nenu pelliki ready'. Now she is acting as one of the buddies of Allu Arjun in his second flick. Anu Mehta is acting as heroine in this film.

Brahmanandam proud about SICA awards
Brahmanandam was in full josh when idlebrain.com met him on the morning of 24th November at Saradhi studios. He came directly from airport to the sets after attending SICA (Southern India Cinematographers Association) awards function. Brahmanandam won the best comedy artist award in Telugu section. He proudly displayed the award and the Rs. 10,000/- cash cheque and he is in all praises for the organizers of that function. He also mentioned that they provided him with to and fro 1st class flight tickets along with a 5 star hotel accommodation in Chennai. Incidentally Brahmanandam was not awarded AP state government's Nandi award for the year 2002 inspite of the terrific cameos in films like Santosham and Manmadhudu.

Srikanth with KRR again
K Raghavendra Rao - who gave mile stone in Srikanth's career with 'Pelli Sandadi' - is going to work for another film starring Srikanth. For this film KRR would do 'darsakatvapu paryavekshana' (supervising direction) like he did for NTR's 'Student No.1'. Vara - son of popular producer Mullapudi Brahmanandam - is making his debut as director. Gajala and Sangeeta are paired up with Srikanth in this film. Sri Creations - a banner of Anil (friend and manager of Srikanth) - would produce this film. MM Keeravani provides music. This film is expected to go to floors in the 1st week of December 2003.

Pawan Kalyan's film with AM Ratnam
AM Ratnam held the muhurat of his project 'Cheppalani Vundi' with a bang on 1st January 2000. Later on the title was modified as 'Kushi' it was released for the summer of 2001 and went on to become a big blockbuster. Likewise, he is planning to hold the muhurat of his next venture with Pawan Kalyan as hero on 1st January 2004. This film might go to floors in the month of March 2004. Dharani who directed the Tamil blockbuster Dhool has prepared story for this film. Other details are awaited!

Ayesha Julka as mother
Director Teja who speculated the names of Sridevi, Rekha etc before fixing on Talluri Rameswari for Nijam, is said to have cast Ayesha Julka (heroine of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar) as the mother of hero character in his film on floors -Jai. It is also learnt that director explored the possibilities of casting Sarika (Kamal Hassan's ex wife) and Sumalata. This film is aimed at summer 2004 release.

Mohan Babu celebrates Vishnu's birthday
Mohan Babu celebrated the birthday of Vishnu at Taj Residency on the evening of 23rd November 2003. Popstar Smita who shot into fame with her debut album Hai Rabba 4 years back is making her debut as actress on big screen in a Venkatesh's film titled 'Malliswari'. She is playing a vital role along with heroine Katrina Kaif, who is playing princess. We reported in the past that Gajala did an item song with Venky a couple of months back. K Vijaya Bhaskar - the director who got an enviable track record of continuious blockbusters - is directing this flick. Trivikram - the sensational and most-sought-after dialogue and script writer - is providing dialogues and story for this film. D Suresh Babu produces this film on Suresh Productions banner.

Single take - take a lakh
The producers fraternity has finally realized the importance of hard selling teh film directly to audience after the movie is released. After successfully conducting seminars on corruption for the viewers of Tagore film, now the producer announced a new scheme called 'Single Take and Take A Lakh' scheme in association with Teja TV channel. There is a 45-second rapid dialogue in Tagore film on corruption which was performed in single take by Chiranjeevi on the sets. In this contest which is being held in a hotel at weekends at particular cities, the participant has to tell the dialogue in a single take without any interruption (just like the JAM contest). Whoever tells the dialogue in minimum number of seconds would win the prize money of Rs. 1 lakhs on the spot.

THP on 18th December
Shooting of Nandamuri Hari Krishna's 'Tiger Harischandra Prasad' is completed except for 2 songs. Ramya Krishna is paired up with Hari Krishna. Dasari Arun Kumar is acting as brother of Hari Krishna. Sangeeta is paired up with Arun Kumar. Samudra is directing this film. SA Raj Kumar scores music. Posani Krishna Murali provided script. P Naga Lakshmi (producer of Aadi) is producing this film. Girish Karnad and Grandhi Subba Rao are doing special appearances. This film deals with the problems faced by peasants in the present times. NTR film names for special trains
Aadi Express is the name of the train that starts in Secunderabad to Nimmakur (via Kazipet, Khammam, Suryapet, Vijayawada, Gudiwada) for audio function of NTR's film 'Andhrawala' on 5th December 2003. The special train that starts in Tirupati (via Renugunta, Gudur, Nellore, Kavali, Ongole, Cheerala, Ponnur, Tenali, Vijaywada, Gudiwada) is named as 'Simhadri Express'. The train that starts from Vizag to Nimmakur (via Tuni, Samarlakota, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Bheemavaram, Gudiwada) is titled as 'Student No. 1 Express'. K Raghavendra Rao is going to be the chief guest for audio function. NTR's Andhrwala is going to release on 301 theaters in January of 2004. Chakri provided music.

Tammareddy Bharadwaja wins
Noted producer director Tammareddy Bharadwaja won the presidential elections of AP Film Employees Federation. He won the elections with a margin of 4 votes over O Kalyan. Incidentally, O Kalyan resigned to this post because anomalies were found in the way he elected. Upon the suggestion of Dasari, they opted elections and Tammareddy won it.

Sekhar Kammula's second project
Sekhar Kammula - the director who made his debut with English film 'Dollar Dreams' in 1999 - is directing his second venture now. Sekhar Kammula is basically a software professional in a multinational company. He won the national award for his film Dollar Dreams in the past. His second project would go to floors in this week.

Raasi's item song in Ravi Teja's film
Raasi has done an item song for Ravi Teja's film in the direction of Seenu Vytla. Atluri Purna Chandra Rao is producing this film. Shooting of this song was started in Vizag on 15th of this month and completed yesterday. Sneha is acting as heroine in this film.

Ko ante Koti - comedy thriller
Siva Nageswara Rao is going to direct a comedy thriller titled Ko ante Koti (based on Sirivennela's lyrics written for a song in Kshanakshanam). This film is going to have four main leads in the form of Sivaji, Rajiv Kanakala, Ali and an actress (yet to be chosen). This film would be produced by 24 Frames Factory that is owned by Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu. Lakshmi Prasanna banner presents this film. Sri provides music and Marudhuri Raja pens dialogues. This film would go to floors very soon.

Vishnu, Manoj film details
Vishnu who proved himself as a star in making with his debut film Vishnu is going to act a film to be produced by Narasimha Rao (of Raasi Movies banner). Ravi Raja Pinisetty, who gave memorable mega hit Peda Rayudu to Mohan Babu - would direct this film. Manoj - younger brother of Vishnu - all set to be launched as a youth hero very soon. This film would be directed by KS Ravi Kumar. Mohan Babu is also going to act in another film and other details are awaited.

NTR to fly in a copter
It would be a great home coming for NTR when he flies in Helicopter along with the crew of 'Andhrawala' to Nimmakur to celebrate the audio function of his 300+ prints release film 'Andhrawala'. He would be unveiling the statues of his great grandparents Legend NTR and Smt. Basava Tarakam. Puri Jagan is planning to release Andhrawala on 1st January 2004 as newyear's gift to Telugu movie lovers.

SPB dubs for Everest film
Everest climbed into the annals of Telugu cinema as the first IMAX film that's dubbed in to Telugu. SP Bala Subramanyam gave his voice over for dubbing of this film. SP Bala Subramanyam inaugurated the first show of Everest (Telugu) in Prasad's IMAX last week.

As per the 'most reliable' source, Chiranjeevi's Anji is all set to release as Xmas-Sankranthi special on 24th December 2003. Shyam Prasad Reddy is pretty busy in getting the audio work of Anji completed. Anji audio is all set to release on 28th of November 2003. There have been extraordinary bids for Anji film from the buyers on the wake of two consecutive industry hits of Chiranjeevi in the form of Indra and Tagore.

13th Children Film Festival kicks off
Hyderabad has been fixed as the permanent venue for International children's film festival 3 years back. 13th International Children's Film Festival is staring on 14th November 2003. All 4 screens of Prasad's multiplex are converted into screening theaters of film festival for this week. Apart from Prasads, children's films would also be screened in Sudha, Ramakrishna35, Sashikala and Siva. 109 films from 34 countries are in the competition. 3 Telugu films Hari villu, Kuchi Kuchi Koonamma and Hero are selected for Asian Panorama Section. A tribute would also be paid for the Hindi comedy actor Late Johnny Walker. A media center has been set up in Prasad's give information about more on the happenings.

3rd Pellam title for Venu's film
Looks like it's a pellam season for hero Venu. After acting in two consecutive pellam films Pellam Voorelithe and Pellamtho Panenti, hero Venu is currently acting in another film titled 'Pellam Premiste'. This film sports Divya Unni as heroine. Story of this film is based on a real life incident occurred in USA. Bhanu directs this film. Prasanna Kumar produces it on Aiswaryambika Creations banner. Surya music would be releasing music soon. Chiranjeevi meets CM Chandra Babu Naidu
Chiranjeevi met CM Chandra Babu Naidu at his residence tonight at 10 pm and spent one and half hours in a closed door meeting. CM was holding a party meeting at the time when Chiranjeevi visited. When contacted by press, sources close to Chiranjeevi informed that it was a casual visit. However, it raises speculation among the public as his visit to CM's residence comes just a day after he issued a press note that he is not interested in joining politics at this moment of time.

Hero and heroines names not revealed
Sreeram Balaji - the director of Chiru Jallu - is making unique experiment in terms of publicity. His 2nd film's title 'Veeri Veeri Gummadi Pamdu' (preminchadam tappu kaadu) was unveiled today by SV Krishna Reddy and Achi Reddy. Director Sreeram Balaji said that 25% of the shooting is complete by now. But the names of hero and heroines in this film would not be revealed till the audio release day. He opines that an apt title like 'Veeri veeri gummadipandu' would add the curiosity factor.

Srihari's Guri in progress
Srihari's latest film Guri is in progress. It's completed 11 days of shoot so far. Vadde Naveen is playing a full-length mass character in this film. Srihari is doing the role of a raithu bidda who transformed into a Don. Bharat is directing this film.

Venkat injured
Youth hero Venkat (of Seetaramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi) injured yesterday when he was shooting for a film titled 'Kurukshetram' at Road No. 10 in Jubilee hills. His left leg was fractured. Venkat assured that its not a major injury and he should be back in action in 3-4 days.

Chiranjeevi disassociates from political gossip
Sangeeta Venkat Reddy and a few politicians from Godavari district called on for a meet on 14th of November to assemble at Indira park and then carry on the procession to Chiranjeevi's house to request Chiranjeevi to join politics. However, Chiranjeevi issued a statement today that he is not interested in politics at this point of time and he would be there in Bangalore on 14th of November to participate in story discussions of his next film. If at all he is entering politics, he would be making a direct statement.

MD Chakri turns actor
RP Patnaik would be acting soon in a film titled 'Nenu, Vasanthi, Lakshmi'. Now it's the turn of music director Chakri to act in films. As per the latest information, he has acted in a film titled 'Satyam', which re-launches Sumanth - nephew of Nagarjuna - as hero. Debutant Suresh directed this film that is made on Annapurna banner.

Star cricket match with stars from 4 languages
MAA (Movie Artists Association) president Murali Mohan announced yesterday that he is planning to have a star cricket on a grand scale with stars from 4 languages (Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada) involved in it. This time, the star cricket is going to take place for 2 days. There would be league matches followed by a grand finale. Murali Mohan said that he is confident of mobilizing the best stars from each of these languages to provide maximum entertainment to the crowds. The money raised through this occasion would be used in helping the poor artists.

Andhrawala audio on 5th Dec
NTR's Andhrawala audio would be released on 5th of December in Nimmakur - the home town of Nandamuri's - in a big scale. Kodali Naani is planning to have a rally of 200 buses full of crowds from Gudiwada to Nimmakur. Lots of trains would be redirected to Nimmakuru on that day to carry thousands of NTR fans from connecting cities. Incidetally Nammakuru - the home town of legend NTR - does not boast of any statue of NTR. Hence, NTR (junior) constructed the statues of his grandfather NTR and grandmother Basava Tarakam. NTR would be unveiling these statues on 5th December. Andhrawala film is all set to release on 9th January 2004.

Sravya - protégé of Surya
Sravya (photos here)- a BE graduate and a computer engineer and most importantly a Telugu girl - is making her debut as heroine in Seetamahalakshmi that is releasing on 8th November 2003. In an interview given to idlebrain.com, Surya mentioned a lot about how to train actors and actresses. Incidentally, Sravya is the first student form Surya's institute that is being introduced on silver screen. Surya also said that he is training son of a big producer as an actor and he would be introduced very soon.

Seminars on Tagore
Gemini TV has conceptualized a program called ACF (Anti Corruption Force) in which the unit of Tagore (Director VV Vinayak and writer Paruchuri) travels around AP and participate in seminars on corruption. These seminars are being attended by IPS officers, IAS officers, Judicial members, members of Chamber of Commerce, students and eminent public. One of these seminars were held on 6th of this month in Guntur.

Bhoot's remake in Tamil
Thyagarajan - father of Prasanth - would be remaking Ram Gopal Varma's successful ghost flick 'Bhoot' in Tamil very soon. He cast Prasanth (his son) and Simran in the main leads that were played by Ajay Devgan and Simran respectively.

Pawan Kalyan as 'Gundumba Shankar'

Ram Prasad to direct another remake
G Ram Prasad who successfully handled the remake film 'Kalyana Ramudu' is going to direct the Telugu version of Malayalam flick 'Chronic Bachelors'. Jagapathy Babu and Venu plays the male leads. There would be three heroines in this film. SA Raj Kumar provides music. Marudhuri Raja pens dialogues. Aditya Ram produces this film on Aditya Ram Movies banner. He produced successful 'Sandade Sandadi' in the past.

Vijaya Nirmala directs Krishna again
Vijaya Nirmala is going to direct Superstar Krishna again. This time in new format - that is for a TV serial. She is directing a TV serial titled 'Atma Bandhuvu'. Shooting was started today with a great fanfare. This serial is going to be telecasted in Vissa TV Channel (Raj Network's Telugu Channel).

The unit of Malliswari returned from a brief stint at Mysore yesterday. When idlebrain.com caught up with the director Vijaya Bhaskar, he is in all praises for the heroine Katrina Kaif. K Vijaya Bhaskar expressed his immense satisfaction over the performance of Katrina Kaif and he predicted the Katrina would eventually become one of the most popular heroines of Telugu cinema. This film 'Malliswari' - produced by Suresh Productions and starring Venkatesh - is all set to release on the eve of Sankranthi 2004.

Kodali Nani leases a cinema hall
Kodali Naani - who is the God Father of NTR and the think-tank behind the strategies employed by NTR - has recently leased the Leela Mahal theater in Vijayawada. Kodani Naani started his career as a distributor for one of the NTR's film. And now he is the producer of NTR's 9th film Samba. It is also learnt that Kodali Naani is going to release NTR's Sankranthi 2004 release Andhrawala in Leela Mahal along with Apsara theater in Vijayawada. Leela Mahal is currently under renovation now.

Matrix worldwide release in AP
We have seen Telugu film releasing in USA on the same day they were released in AP. Now it's the turn of English films to release on the same day in AP they release in USA. 'Matrix Revolutions' takes the credit of the first film that is releasing worldwide (inclusive of Andhra Pradesh) on 5th of November. The second Hollywood flick that is going to have simultaneous release in AP is the next version of 'Lords of the rings'. Now AP is all set to find its place in the international map of worldwide releases of English films.

RP Patnaik's low profile
RP Patnaik is keeping low profile now a days. It does not mean that he is idle. He is working lots of things in the background is all set to hit the silver screen with a bang. He is going to act in 'Nenu, Vasanthi, Lakshmi' - a remake of Malayalam 'Kaasi', for which he also provides music. He is also working on the script of an English film which would be started by the mid of next year. He is not willing to give music for other projects. AOS entertainment show at Dubai & Qatar
The team of 'Athade Oka Sainyam' is planning to tour Dubai and Qatar to give entertainment shows in December 2003. E4entertainment that organized the 50 days function of Simhadri would be conducting these shows. SV Krishna Reddy, Jagapati Babu, Laya, Neha, Venu Madhav, Ravi Varma and Kousalya are expected to be the part of the entertainment team. Srihari's Guri started
Bharath - who directed films like Film Nagar, Telangana in the past - is directing a film featuring Srihari and Naveen Vadde in the mainleads. The muhurat of this film was held at Annapurna studios on 31st October 2003. Dasari, EVV and SV Krishna Reddy did the honors. Yogananda Sharma is presentinmg this film. T Narasa Reddy produces Guri. Bharati Babu pens lyrics. Suresh provides music. This film would be shot in a single schedule. It's an out and out action thriller, according to the director.
