BILINGUAL FILM ON SEX TRAFFICKING –TOUCHRIVER’S FILM NEAR COMPLETION.

In a back room of the largest editing studio in Chennai there is a feeling of exhaustion driven by something exciting, pushing people deep into the night, staring at their computer screens, rewinding and re-watching clips of the upcoming film Prathyayam in Telugu and Ente in Malayam, a work by Rajesh Touchriver.† This two and a half hour film is being worked and reworked to meet the perfectionist eye of its director. Extraordinarily talented editor DonMax with over 15 multi-starrers is at his creative best. ‘Some films you do for the star cast…some others for money…but this is one movie I am doing for the joy of it…every frame is a delight to work’ Don quipped as his eyes are glued to the screen.

Of his work Rajesh says, “I am sure every family will be compelled to see this film’ It is on track for a March release so keep an eye out for this groundbreaking film from an accomplished cast. The plot is something never before attempted at this level of the industry - a true story about a father and daughter confronting the evils of sex trafficking. In an effort to keep all aspects of the story as close to reality as possible, Rajesh consulted his wife, the Anti Sex Trafficking Crusader Sunitha Krishnan and hundreds of sex trafficked survivors to evolve the screenplay.

There is betrayal, love, anguish, and some redemption awaiting those who enter theaters this March for this much anticipated film. I know I'll be there.
