15th International Children Film Festival of India was inaugurated today at Public gardens, Hyderabad. This function is attended by YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Dasari, MS Reddy, Jayasudha, Nafisa Ali, Prabhas, Anam Ram Narayana Reddy, Partha Saradhi and Kuldip Sinha.

Speaking on the occasion YSR said, “Children filmmaking is an art. These films should encourage the children to indulge in creative activities. Established Telugu film directors and producers should make a few children films as a part of their commitment towards society. Hyderabad has become a permanent venue for children film festival. I hope that we too produce films like Harry Potter.”

Chair person of Children film festival Nafisa Ali said, “Children Film Society had been working sincerely for the past 15 years towards this cause. This is the seventh film festival happening in Hyderabad. We selected 119 films out of 300 films we received.”

Dasari said, “There is no great support for this festival. It’s the time to come up with a permanent facility for film festivals in Hyderabad. KS Prakasa Rao is the first person to make children film. His grandson Prakash continued the legacy by producing Bommalata which won national award.”

Jayasudha, Prabhas and Anam Ram Narayan Reddy also spoke during this event.
