The audio of "Mister Gireesam", starring comedy hero Krishna Bhagwan in the title role, was released tonight at Prasad Labs preview theatre, Hyderabad. Aditya Music is marketing the album. The film is made on SRC Creations with music scored by Quddus. Producer is Ramesh Chandra Benerjee. Director is Viswa Prasad. Ramya Krishna plays the vital role (of Madhura Vani) in the film.
Music director MM Keeravani graced the occasion as the chief guest. He unveiled the audio CD and presented the first number to red star and producer R. Narayana Murthy. Director Chandra Siddarth released the audio cassette and presented the album to the film's presenter Murali Mohan. The dignitaries included director Dasarath, distributor Srinvas Reddy, Sandesh (artistes who worked as villain in the film), Krishi (who played the role of Bujjamma), Music director Quddus and others.
MM Keeravani said: "I appreciate producer Ramesh Chandra Benerjee for his missionary zeal in producing this film with its subject based on Gurajada Appa Rao's Kanya Sulkam, enacted a century ago with the noble objective of eradicating social evils and superstitions. I wish the team of Mr. Gireesam all the best."
R. Narayana Murthy said: "The power of Kanya Sulkam of Gurajada Appa Rao has a humanitarian objective. I hope this film will bring some change in the society and stop atrocities against women. The objective of the director in attacking social evils like abortions, dowry deaths and child marriages. The present society is marred by heinous crimes against the women. This should stop. I hope the film will entertain the audience with the same social values as was by the yesteryears blockbuster of NTR – Kanya Sulkam."
Ramesh Chandra Benerjee said: "There are five songs in the film. Before composing the tunes and scoring the music, we were in a dilemma as to how we could bring justice to the great lyrics and music of the yesteryears film Kanya Sulkam. But, music director Quddus brought full justice to this department of songs and music with absolute commitment."
