Chiranjeevi Sports Center was inaugurated by Dasari, Purandheswari, Daggubati, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, DVS Raju & Ramesh Prasad today (21st August 2005) evening at Film Nagar Cultural Center. This sports center is named after Chiranjeevi as Chiranjeevi shelled out a huge donation. The other celebrities who attended this event include KL Narayana, Murali Mohan, C Aswini Dutt, G Adisesha Giri Rao & Srikanth.

Film Nagar Cultural Center was started in a rented place around 12 years back. Now, it has its own land and has full-fledged facilities. There are 3 badminton courts, health club facilities like Jacuzzi, Steam Bath, Sauna and Massage, gymnasium, swimming pool, billiards room, library, mini banquet hall, pub and 11 rest rooms. Out door screen facility would start in September 2005. Tennis Court and departmental store are also on the anvil. UCO Bank has given loan to this facility. All film celebrities -mainly Chiranjeevi, Rama Naidu and DVS Raju - helped this sports center.

MP Purandheswari said that she is a sports lover and a sports center like this would help in personality development as well. MP Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad said that he shelled out funds from MP quota to this sports center. Chiranjeevi said that sports center would ease the everyday mental tension and fatigue. Central Minister Dasari said such a sports center is unique and no other film industry in India possess such a great facility.
