Audio function of Bala Krishna's Chenna Kesava Reddy was held at Holiday Inn at 7 pm on 2nd of September 2002 amidst tight security. Gun flashing security men and sniffing dogs indicated that CM of AP is gracing the Balayya audio function again.

In the past too Balayya's Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu's audio functions were held at Holiday Inn and CM was the chief guest. But 'Seema Simham' audio function was organized at Taj Banjara. To make the sentiment work right, this time Balayya repeated the venue and chief guest.

Suma anchored the event and called upon Chandra Bose to sing a song from the film. He rendered the song - Navve Vallani Navvani .. Edche Vallani Edvani Dont Care' - the introduction song from Chenna Kesava Reddy. Later on the dialogue writer Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao is called upon to speak. He mentioned that he is not going to let out any of dialogues in the film unlike Balayya's earlier audio functions.

In his address to the packed auditorium, CM Chandra Babu Naidu commended the films like Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu. He said that Balayya's films have good message along with unlimited entertainment and hoped that CKR would also consists of good message to the society. He also advised other producers to give some message through their films. He appreciated Bala Krishna for creating records with Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu and wished that CKR would beats the records created Balayya that were never beaten by any other films.

Then the organizers exhibited some audio clips on the screen. The unit of CKR donated Rs 50,000/- to a welfare organization from Guntur. Bellamkonda Suresh donated Rs 5,00,000/- to the CM Relief Fund. All the distributors of CKR donated Rs. 50,000/- each to the CM Relief Fund.

Bellamkonda Suresh told that he has been TDP's member since 1984 and it's a thrilling occasion for him when his leader Chandra Babu Naidu graced occasion for the film that is produced by him. He also mentioned that he would organize a public 'abhinandana sabha' after release of CRK and then he would talk about the greatness of the film and its records later rather than boasting about it before release.

Bala Krishna thanked all the technicians. He also said that Mani Sharma has always given good music for his films. He said that entertainment industry is the second biggest revenue earner to the Government after Indian Railways. He thanked Vinayak for giving such a wonderful story. He also mentioned that he signed this film only after watching Vinayak's debut film Aadi.

Brahmanandam stole the show with telling about his character in CKR. He is doing the character of 'Seema Sastry'. He told that he did 60 characters of purohitudu so far. And he enjoyed this character better than all his previous characters. He told the dialogue of this film with abhinayam - - panchangam teesi pakkana pedithe, nenu ninnu minchina faction leader ni (this dialogues comes as a reply when a faction leader Chalapati Rao threatens Seema Sastry). He said that Balayya is doing two roles and he saw Sr. NTR in the performance of elder role. (Incidentally, the producers were propagating that Balayya is doing single role so that it has some curiosity factor. But Brahmanandam, unaware of this strategy by producers, spoilt the party)

Chandra Bose concluded the function with another song that starts with Telupu Telupu - Nalupu Nalupu (actually he applied pun in lyrics as Nalupu has two meanings - crushing and black color - and telupu has two meanings - white color and expressing.

The producer announced that the audio would hit market on 4th of September. Music director Mani Sharma and director VV Vinayak refused to speak on the occasion to save the precious time of CM.
