K Venkat Rao (father of Chiranjeevi) passed away at 6:45 am on 24 December 2007 at his residence in Gayatri Hills, Hyderabad. The entire film industry and political fraternity graced the residence of Venkat Rao to pay respects to him. The last rights will be done today evening.
