AP Film directors association felicitated Dasari Narayana Rao at a function organized in Film Chamber on the evening of 16 December. Senior directors like Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, V Madhusudhana Rao, K Viswanath, Tatineni Rama Rao, KRS Das, Vasu, Bharadwaj etc.

Speaking on the occasion Dasari reiterated the importance of directors in the process of filmmaking. He also criticized heroes and directors for making the producer a mere cashier. He asked journalists to criticize movies so that it would help filmmakers.
