Dasari who felicitated all the directors of Telugu cinema during his last birthday in 2007 has taken the onus of felicitating all the Telugu cinema producers this time. Vamsi International organized this event at Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens on the evening of 4 May. YSR graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Sekhar Kammula received the Dasari best director award and Eeswar Reddy received the Dasari best new director award. Pasupuleti Rama Rao and Prabhu received the Dasari best journalist awards.
