D Rama Naidu is the living legend – Dr. C Narayana Reddy
Speaking on the occasion C Narayana Reddy said, “D Rama Naidu is the living legend and a perfect definition of model producer. I had the opportunity to pen three songs for D Rama Naidu’s first film ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’. I observed him involving each department of filmmaking from the first film itself. He has produced two memorable films Ramudu Bheemudu and Prem Nagar with two memorable stars of Telugu cinema NTR and ANR. Rama Naidu also established Rama Naidu charitable trust and is doing a great social service. Two times national award winner Vasiraju Prakasam came up with great piece of writing for the book ‘Chalana Chitra Chakravarthy’.”
Revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao said that D Rama Naidu is the qualified person for receiving the title ‘Chalana Chitra Chakravarthy’.
D Rama Naidu is an organization – T Subbirami Reddy
Dr. T Subbirami Reddy said, “D Rama Naidu is an institution today. Even after achieving so much in films, he is still humble. 90% of his films have been successful. Only he knows the recipe of making successful films.”
D Rama Naidu invested all his profits into film industry - ANR
ANR said, “I knew D Rama Naidu even before he entered in filmmaking. I went to Karamchedu to shoot for Nammina Bantu film. He used to move around with a cash bag and used to organize and manage things over there. At that time I sensed that he had interest in films. Today D Rama Naidu became an inspiring personality in Telugu film industry. D Rama Naidu invested all his profits back in film industry by constructing studios and establishing other movie related services. D Rama Naidu’s Prem Nagar is one of my best films.”
Prem Nagar was the first Telugu film I watched - Jayasudha
Actress Jaya Sudha said, “Prem Nagar was the first Telugu film I ever watched. At that time I did not know that I would become such a fortunate woman to work with both ANR and D Rama Naidu. D Rama Naidu was number one producer and is number one producer.”
D Rama Naidu is the showman of Telugu cinema - Chiranjeevi
Chiranjeevi said, “When I was a kid, I read in social studies about borders of India. D Rama Naidu is the border of Telugu film industry now. We also read that Himalayas are highest mountains in India and D Rama Naidu is the tallest figure of Telugu film industry. I browsed through the book and I feel that 184 pages are too less to write about such a great personality like D Rama Naidu. He inspired all producers. He eat cinema, breath cinema, drink cinema and dream cinema. Raj Kapoor was the showman of Indian cinema and D Rama Naidu is the showman of Telugu cinema. When I asked him why he is working so hard when his sons have become big in their professions, D Rama Naidu answered me by saying that he feels relaxed when he makes films.”
Rama Naidu’s films brought social change – Suresh Reddy
Speaker Suresh Reddy said, “Films are the biggest media of mass entertainment in India. Rama Naidu films provided good entertainment and also brought social change in society. He is also doing social service.”
Vasiraju Prakasam who wrote the book recollected days when he met D Rama Naidu for the first time in 1963 in the capacity of editor of Andhra Patrika newspaper.
I acted as dupe to ANR - D Rama Naidu
D Rama Naidu said, “I would like to thank Vasiraju Prakasam for writing a book on me. I met ANR for the first time when he was in Karamchedu to shoot for Nammina Bantu film. I acted a dupe to him in that film. ANR asked me if I was interested in films and I replied him by saying that I will do farming. Later on I came to film industry and become a producer. Ramudu Bheemudu and Prem Nagar are two of the greatest films I ever made. I saw both success and failures in my career as producer in the past 43 years. I would like to thank everybody for conferring me this title.
