The premier Telugu satellite television channel GEMINI TV held its annual awards function UGADI PURASKARALU, on the 17th of March at Shilpa Kala Vedika.

The highlight of this event was the live performance for THE FIRST TIME EVER by the sensational music director Of the year S.S.TAMAN and his Team of playback singers Ranjith, Naveen Namboothiri, Rahul Nambiar, Suchitra and Anjana.

Present on this occasion were a host of dignitaries from the entertainment industry. Film Directors Tammareddy Bhardwaja, Teja, Harris Shankar, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Nandini Reddy and Music Director Koti. Ugadi Puraskaralu had the top heroes of the Telugu film industry like Nitin, Nani, Rana giving away the awards to the winners.

Packed with performances from all the serials on Gemini TV, the evening also saw Prabhakar and his team put up a scintillating dance performance.
The awards were decided by a jury comprising of Mrs.Anjana Devi, Mrs. Surekha, Mrs. Lavanya, Mr.Murali Mohan, T.Bharadwaja, Mr. Koti and they were all present and encouraging the industry to reach newer heights.

The show also saw Tagubothu Ramesh anchor an event for the first time ever along with the veteran of the television industry, Ms.Suma, Their on stage interaction had the audience in splits all through the evening.

This spectacular show will be aired on Gemini TV on Ugadi day.
