The closing ceremony of Hyderabad International Film Festival 2007 was organized in preview theater of Prasads multiplex on the night of 29 Mar 2007. HIFF 2007 has screenings of over 110 movies and more than one lakh movie lovers watched these films. This function is graced by Kiran V Santarem (filmmaker, Mumbai), Muzzafar (Islamic Cultural House), Ramesh Prasad, actress Revathy, B Narsing Rao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and SS Prakash Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion B Narsing Rao said, “It is a dream come true for us to organize an international film festival. We have taken a time of two months to organize and prepare for HIFF 2007. We also held a seminar on women’s role in film industry. We got appreciation for all sectors of audiences. Technicians learnt many things after watching these international films. We will organize the film festival in a grand way from next year onwards. Our film festival should be one of the biggest events in international circuit.”

Kiran V Santharam said, “I happened to see very good films in this film festival. The organizers reached the objectives to certain extent in this festival. Mumbai Academy of Moving Images, Third Eye etc are organizing grand film festivals in India.”

Ramesh Prasad said, “I am glad that Prasads took part in HIFF 2007 screening international films. HIFF achieved big objective in very less period of time.”

Revathy said, “Attending film festivals is like going to my own home. Festivals give lot of scope for us to learn. There are very good new talent here and people like Ramesh Prasad should encourage them by screening their films in multiplex.”
