Yuva Kala Vahini presented KV Reddy award to Puri Jagan at a function arranged in the evening of 29th October. Home Minister Jana Reddy, BN Reddy, Saripally Kondala Rao, Srikanth and Chakri attended this function as guests.

Speaking on the occasion Jana Reddy said, “Yuva Kala Vahini is doing good job of felicitating the finest talents of Telugu film industry. I watched Pokiri and it was a tremendous film with exciting emotions. I appreciate Puri Jagan on behalf of government for doing an excellent service. I hope to see many more positive and vibrant films from Puri Jagan.”

Responding this award Puri Jagan said, “I am very happy to have got this precious award. I have a memorable incident relating to KV Reddy. My father owns a touring talkies in our hometown. He exhibited KV Reddy’s Uma Chandi when I was 5 years old. Inspired by that film my father named my little brother as Uma Shankar Ganesh. I also love the work of KV Reddy. I take his dialogue ‘Sahasam Cheyyara Dimbhaka’ as inspiration and follow it religiously. I take risks and do adventures, but I made sure that I do it with passion. I would like to thank Pawan Kalyan who gave me direction debut chance on this occasion.".
