Andhra Prabha - one of the most long-standing authentic newspaper - is coming up with a separate tabloid for movies called ‘Chitra Prabha’. This tabloid will be given for free on every Friday to the readers of Andhra Prabha newspaper. This Chitra Prabha will be available from 14th September for every Friday. Incidentally, Andhra Prabha is the first Telugu newspaper to include such an exclusive tabloid dedicated to cinema for free.
This tabloid is launched by Akkineni Nageswara Rao at a function held in Ahala, Taj Krishna. The other guests who made it to the occasion include MS Reddy, Krishnam Raju, A Kodandarami Reddy, Sagar, Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu, SV Krishna Reddy, Achi Reddy, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Raja Sekhar, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Rajiv Kanakala, Vaibhav, Jeevita and Suma.
Speaking on the occasion ANR said, “Ramnadh Goenka (founder of Andhra Prabha) and Kamaraj Nadar were my neighbors in Chennai in those days. I used to be very interested in Andhra Prabha newspaper. I went to the extent of going to their office and be there when Narla Venkateswara Rao (editor at that time) write editorials for this paper. Journalists always played a vital role in my career progress. Only newspaper I buy is ‘The Hindu’. I used to get all the remaining papers as complimentary. BN Reddy suggested me that I should read The Hindu newspaper and development my communication skills in English.” |
