December 2002
Audio
of Annapurna Studios' latest film 'Manmadhudu' was released on
6th December 2002 at 8 pm at an open dais erected outside glass
house in Annapurna Studios. 450 selected winners from Gemini TV
channel contest were invited for this exclusive-Gemini-TV-program.
Devi Sri Prasad enthralled the audience with his chirpiness. Sunitha
anchored the event. The guests of the night include Nagarjuna,
K Vijaya Bhaskar, Sirivennela, Brahmanandam and Tanikella Bharani.
In
an innovative style, each celebrity selected coupon from a jar
and the coupon holder came on to the dais and released each song
by using a remote control (for a CD player). After releasing six
songs, the anchor requested Nagarjuna to select the final winner
who is going to receive the first audiocassette. During that time,
the fans asked Nagarjuna to call 'Sisindri' Akhil to come on dais.
Master Akhil took out the coupon and announced it. The winner
Chandra Sekhar received the first cassette from Nagarjuna. Sirivennela
explained the meaning behind the 'Don't Marry, be happy' song.
Brahmanandam entertained the crowds with his antics.
Addressing
the fans, Nagarjuna said that he saw the complete movie on 5th
of December and it came out really well. He assured that fans
that 'Manmadhudu' would become a super duper hit.
This
event would be broadcast on Gemini TV very soon. Audiocassettes
and CDs of Manmadhudu are available at stores on 7th December.
