The muhurat of SV Krishna Reddy's first film - Athade Oka Sainyam - on his home banner 'SVK Films' with Jagapati Babu and Neha (of Dil fame) in the main leads. C Aswini Dutt clapped on the lead pair. Financier Satya Rangaiah switched on the camera. The other producers who graced this occasion include Allu Arvind, Arjuna Raju, Trivikrama Rao and Kishore Rathi.

Jagapati Babu's character is inspired by that of 'Gayam'
Speaking on this occasion, SV Krishna Reddy said that winners don't do different things. But they do same things differently. This role is a tailor made film for Jagapati Babu and his characterization is an extension to his 'Durga' Character in 'Gayam'. He said that its going to be a complete commercial entertainer with hilarious comedy and good storyline.

Ravi Teja's brother makes debut through this film
SV Krishna Reddy said that Bharat - the brother of hero Ravi Teja - is making his debut as an actor through this film. He said that his character in this film makes as much impact as Prakash Raj's made in the film Vinodam. Suman is acting as brother of Prakash Raj in this film. Seeta is playing wife of Suman.

A different film
Jagapati Babu said that he share the same warmth with SV Krishna Reddy, which he used to share during the time of Mavi Chiguru and Subha Lagnam. He said that this film has no similarities with the films he did with SV Krishna Reddy in the past.

First time in Indian Cinema
Dialogue writer Diwakar Babu said that they are going for a different approach in this film. He also said that no film is made in India with this subject so far.

October 2nd release
Producer Achi Reddy said that this film would be completed in a single schedule. This film would have 5 songs. Chandra Bose penned lyrics for all the songs, which would be choreographed by Suchitra Chandra Bose. This film is slated for the release on 2nd October 2003 on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi.
