Muhurat of Srihari's latest film Hanumanthu was held at Film Nagar Daiva Sannidhanam on the morning of 6th of November 2005. Santhi - wife of Srihari - is producing this film on Sri Chalana Chitra banner in the direction of Chandra Mahesh. Dasari sounded the clapboard. MS Raju switched on the camera. Ramesh Prasad directed the first shot.

Srihari said, "I have been thinking of making a film with Hanumanthu title for the past two years. I liked the story a lot. This film would take me to the next level as an actor. I am producing this film on my home banner as this film demands high budget and I don't want to trouble other producers. I am doing the role of devotee of Lord Hanuman."

Director Chandra Mahesh said that he worked for films like Ayodhya Ramayya and Okkade with Srihari in the past.
