A new film (Production No. 1) under the production house of Sridhan Media (a popular TV entertainment company), starring Jayaram and Lakshana, is launched today at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. Jayaram is the younger brother of Smt. Shanti Srihari, while Lakshana is a debut heroine into Tollywood, coming from Mumbai. Bhupati is the producer. AL Raja, Tamil director, is set to make his debut directing this Telugu flick.

Double hatrick director SS Rajamouli sounded the clapboard on the lead screen pair, while Srihari switched on the camera. Director AL Raja (director of this film) himself rendered the first shot direction.

Srihari said: "Long back, I introduced Jayaram in a vital role in my film Sambayya. However, he settled in Tamil film industry all these years and obtained success there. Several times, I tried to give him good roles in my films, but he declined them hoping to stand on his own legs by sheer self-efforts. I am satisfied that Jayaram will have a good time in Telugu film industry too, because he comes under the direction of a highly knowledgeable and committed director AL Raja. I saw his films earlier. They are not only action-packed, but have inbuilt and strong message in them."

A film in 45 Days
Production organizer Sai said: "Telugu audience was aware that Jayaram did the brother role to Vijayshanti in Indiramma. Sridhan Media is a corporate entity with its deep-rooted success in the TV entertainment in Tamilnadu. AL Raja has the credit of directing senior hero like Parthibhan in Tamil. We hope to finish the film in about 45 days with three-equally split schedules, including Bangkok trip. The screen release is planned within 90 days from today. That is out commitment for this film."

About corrupt education system
Bhupati said: "When AL Raja narrated the script, I found it very apt for the current generation. It has a powerful message for the youth and parents as well. The audience will find a solid attack against the erratic and highly commercialized education system. The repercussions of these maladies in education form the crux of the film. Jayaram and Lakshana will have bright future with this film."

The hero and heroine sought the blessings of the Telugu audiences for their debut effort. It has music by Srikanth Deva. Asish Vidyarthi and Bhanupriya play vital roles. Comedy part will be handled by Suman Setty. Dhandapani (of Premiste fame) does a key role. SV Jayaram is the cinematographer. Art is by Bhaskar.
