Manchu Manoj - the second son of Mohan Babu - is launched today with a film that is being remade from Tamil blockbuster 'Thiruda Thirudi'. Most of the bigwigs of film and political fields graced this occasion to bless Manoj. Fans from all over AP came for the occasion in 1000's.

NV Prasad and S Naga Ashok Kumar who produced latest blockbuster Vasantham are producing this film. Subramanyam Siva who directed the original film is also directing Telugu remake.

Dasari Narayana Rao said that Mohan Babu made a good name for himself in the industry and Vishnu was launched successfully. He expresses his happiness over the launch of Manoj. MS Reddy said that Mohan Babu made a fantastic career spanning 30 years and his typical qualities of 'kasi' (vengeance) and 'krushi' (hardwork).

T Subbirami Reddy said that he is astonished and mesmerized by the fans who came for this muhurat of Manoj's debut film. He commended Mohan Babu as sensational personality. And he wished that Manoj should become a vibrating and striking star in the future.

Mohan Babu said that he acted in 504 films so far and started his career 'Swargam -Narakam' in 1975 in the direction of Dasari Narayana Rao. He felt that he is feeling very glad that an outside producer is launching his son as hero. He said that NV Prasad is from his home land. He opined that success/failure of any film should be attributed to the director first.

Producer NV Prasad said that 'Thiruda Thirudi is a 175 days film in Tamil Nadu and it has all ingredients to attract all classes of audiences. Music director Dina said that he worked as an assistant music composer for a few films of Mohan Babu and he expressed his happiness over working as full-fledged music director for a film that launches son of Mohan Babu as hero. Hero Manoj and heroines Sada and Nandita expressed their happiness over this project.

Chiranjeevi clapped on Manoj. D Rama Naidu switched on the camera. The producer NV Prasad (who is basically from Tirupati town) distributed Tirupati Laddoos to all the invitees.
