Sri Lakshmi Ganapathy Films that produced films like
'Taraka Ramudu' and 'Naa Manasista Raa' in the past
is producing a film with Kalyan Ram Nandamuri and
Amuradha Mehta in the lead pair. This film is a Telugu
remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Nanda' (Surya, Laila).
Muhurat
of this film was held at Annapurna studios on the
morning of 6th May 2004. Dasari sounded the clap board
on Kalyan Ram and Anuradha Mehta. Hari Krishna Nandamuri
switched on the camera. Cinematographer VSR Swamy
directed the first shot.
Speaking on this occasion, hero Kalyan Ram Nandamuri
said that this film is his 3rd venture as hero. The
producer M Sudhakar has shown 'Nanda' film to Kalyan
Ram when he was doing his debut film 'Toli Choopulone'.
Kalyan Ram liked 'Nanda' and said that he would do
this film after his current commitments are over.
The producers patiently waited for Kalyan Ram. He
said that the director Uday Kumar is a renowned director
in Tamil film industry. He directed over 11 Tamil
blockbusters that starred stars like Rajnikanth, Vijaykanth,
Kamal Hassan etc. Kalyan Ram expressed his happiness
over working with such an accomplished director. Kalyan
Ram said that VSR Swamy is one cinematographer who
has enhanced the looks of Bala Krishna Nandamuri with
his cinematography. Kalyan Ram made a debut as child
artist with 'Bala Gopaludu' film for which Raj-Koti
provided music. He felt happy over working with Koti.
Kalyan Ram said that this film is a love story with
a strong mother - son sentiment.
Producer
Sudhakar said that Kalyan Ram Nandamuri is the only
choice for this film. He waited for 2 years for Kalyan
Ram to start this film. He said that the shooting
of the film would start on 20th of May and would be
completed in 45 days in a single schedule. The talkie
shooting part would be done in places like Vizag and
Bobbili. There would be six songs in this film. These
songs would be canned in places like Ooty, Kodaikanal
and Munnar (Kerala). He expressed his delight over
working with great technicians like VSR Swamy, Uday
Kumar and Koti.
Cinematographer
VSR Swamy said that 'Nanda' is a film that runs on
perfect screenplay. This film has shot budding hero
Surya in to fame and he is the number one star in
Tamil today. He wished that this film also pave a
way for Kalyanram to the stardom.
Director
Uday Kumar expressed his pleasure over working with
an actor from Nandamuri family. Heroine Anuradha Mehta
said that she saw the original and felt great doing
this film.
