The muhurat of Nitin's next film in the direction of Teja was held today (22nd Feb) morning at 10 am in Annapurna studios. Narayan Das - head of a popular Nizam distribution agency 'Asian Films' - has established a banner called Asian Entertainments and started off this film as production no.1. Kamineni Surya Narayana (head of Kamineni Hospitals) gave the clap of Nitin and Tanikella Bharani. Baby Adiya (niece of hero Nitin) switched on camera. K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot. You have the habit of directing one film at a time. Why did you start this project before the release of this film 'Jai'?
It is due to financial pressure. I refunded the money to the distributors who distributed Nijam and Sambaram.

Tanikella Bharani said that this film is an 'abhyudaya chitram'. Do you have any message in this film?
I decided not to give messages through my films after the experience of Nijam. I want my films to do well at box office and satisfy distributors and exhibitors in terms of profits.

You film with Nitin - Jayam - had village backdrop. What is the backdrop of this film?
It's a city based subject. Tanikella Bharani is doing the role of hero's father who is a driver of a municipality van.

You always started off your projects with grand announcement of title. What is the title of this new project?
I have one apt title in my mind. I would announce it in a week after registering the title in AP Film Chamber.

What are the main ingredients of this film?
I grew up watching films of comedy and action. And this film too would have comedy and action.

Did you select heroine?
I have not fixed the heroine yet. I am looking for a new face. I would also be introducing quite a few new faces. With new faces, I can improvise the things to suit characterization in my films. But with big stars it is not possible.

How many songs would be there?
Anup is doing music. This film would have 8 songs. 2 songs are recorded so far.

When would this film go to floors and when are you going to release it?
The regular shooting of this film would be starting in the month of May and would be shot till July 2004. I am planning to release it for Vijaya Dasami of 2004.

Incidentally 22nd February is Teja's birthday. He cut a cake on this eve.
